Let's get Hakeem and build around Lively. Rebuild immediately. Forget about the 1 year window.

Strictly objective speaking, AD is legitimately a DPOY candidate. Checked his stats and he's averaging 25 a game (3 pts short of Luka). Probably becomes the best 2 way big in Dallas Mavs history.
He's no slouch. With the reactions online, it feels like Dallas got Mo Bamba back.
Never changing teams because of one player. We move forward as it is.

Sure. But if you take Nico's word for it, then he prefers someone who can play both sides of the court.
We'll see if it pays off. I understand most of the fanbase is frustrated, I just choose to move past all of that. Water under the bridge.

Oh well, you checked his stats.
Great.

If he plays, 39 games less than Luka in last 5 years.

Dont give a **** what nico prefers tbh. Lets see what permits the owners get in lakerland the coming years, and what job nico get when he is fired. There is zero chance he ever get a bball job again. Wanna bet he will be the boss of a newbuilt casino in lakerland?

Yeah, I'm not taking Nico's word for it considering what he was saying to reporters (on podcast)...that they were happy with their team and Just waiting for injured Players to come back....meanwhile he was working behind the scenes for weeks , trying to trade their franchise player...Mavs have a 2 year window to win it now probably and I highly doubt they win this year...and who knows what happens in the summer ,Kyrie could be gone
Or maybe Nico is looking to trade Kyrie to PHX for Beal

They're not winning anything. They're struggling immensely and AD will change that by himself? Everything is just a bad joke.

I hope it's just a Silver dictat... I can't believe a GM trades Doncic for that package in 2025.
It's an insult to the mankind.

Apparently Nico doesn't like 2018 draft class, he didn't extended Brunson and now got rid of Luka in Kleber deal. I don't know how many managers have lost 2 young All Nba players in few years.

These scumbags are just trying to leave the illusion that we're still a contender but reality is we are doomed. And this time is for real.
Man, I would really love it from the bottom of my bleeding heart if Mavs fans left the AAC empty the next time we play at home.
I'm so damn livid.

Huge was an understatement.Teffer10 wrote:I dont see Mavs making a huge move.
I could see a minor move to address an immediate need like Maxi/2nd for Olynyk.
This is going to take time for me to make sense of.

I'm just wondering why Nico didnt throw Lively into the deal and demand Bronny in return.

Re: Dallas Mavericks 2024 Trade thread -- Roster and Cap post 24 FA
There has to be more behind this.
Why Lakers, who had literally no trade assets to come even close to matching Luka's market value?
This is by far the most lopsided and dumbest trade in all of sports history.
This is literally as stupid as if the Chiefs decide to offer Mahomes for Dak and throw in a draft pick
Sorry, but I'm far beyond pissed and still trying to comprehend this total train wreck of a deal.

The guy I'm keeping tabs on the trade market is Brandon Ingram. He is a free agent and can walk to any team if NOLA doesn't trade him in 4 days.
