LeBron for Jokic trade next? I couldn’t care less for a LeBron/Luka pairing. But a Jokic/Luka pairing would get me to start watching the NBA again

I get it, we're talking about the future and AD is 32, Mavs should have got more in the trade etc.. but the dude just had a game of 40 pts 23 reb and selected for the All Star game for the 10X. People are acting like he is some bad player lol

Right broke down Bogdonvic is so much better than Anthony Davis, and then you got 5 crappy picks on top of that? What a steal!

He'll be a FA soon. I'm 100% convinced he'll simply sign with Nuggets and finally play with his best buddy. And that will be scary hours for the league.

Mikael > Luka, because I believe Defense wins championships 8-)

Bridges defence was worse than Cam Thomas

He was terrible for us

Lakers lose the trade now but win in the future. Mavs should have had open trade and get Hella picks and young assets instead. Ad is a broken man

Nobody can seriously tell me there was no other trade package in THE ENTIRE LEAGUE better than Anthony Davis and 1 first round pick for 25 year old LUKA DONCIC. Foh

Why the Lakers? Makes no sense.

Might as well watch professional wrestling at this point. This was called in by the league.

Honestly feels like a dagger to the heart for a long time NBA fan.

We all suspected the league and refs were crooked at times during our fandom, but never were the powers to be so brazen in how they chose to present this business decision

Oh wow, another one-sided bizarre trade that benefits Lebron. Where have I seen that before?

You don’t justify this trade by “oh they want to devalue the team and move to Vegas”. You can an infinitely better return with picks picks picks, still devalue the team in the process and go to Vegas.

why didn't dallas call 29 teams and ask for their best offers, stack all 29 offerings together and then pick the best one

dallas didn't call and single team lol, and just went to the lakers and gave them doncic.....WHY?????

The Luka/LeBron pairing is just boring. The Spurs or Nuggets could have beat the Lakers offer and we’d to get to see a Luka/Wemby or Luka/Jokic pairing.

Are you talking about the injury prone one who’s six years older often plays fifty game seasons and wasn’t in the finals last year like Luka?

Who was an All NBA 2nd team selection last year. Stick to facts, leave emotion out of it, it'll be ok... But anyway, tell me which All-NBA player(s) the heat gave up to sign Lebron/Bosh? "None", you say? Just what I thought...

I’ll just assume that you’re not too sharp because I wrote “trade equivalent of the Heatles” meaning, a new trend unfair trend is set
So you’re trying to tell me that you believe this is an even trade? Trying to get an idea of your IQ

Is it 1 to 1 fair? On face value, no. But you don't know what the new owners were thinking. Maybe if Cuban had of put some clauses in Luka's contract similar to Zion's, the new owners would be less worried. But the super-max (which I assume he's already qualified for...) is a VERY real thing, with REAL-WORLD consequences, which the new owners may not have been comfortable with. Still waiting for the comparison, though...

I only hope Luka does not resign with Lakers.
I would actually pay for watching Luka and Jokic on the same team, both overweight..slow..eating burgers just before the game..
Then coming out and destroying everybody in their path:):)

So it might be best for everyone to go his own way. Nico gets to build the team the way he wants and Luka gets a fresh start.

Imagine letting your ego get in the way of building around a top 5 player in the NBA.

Not if you are looking to shatter the fanbase to justify attendance as a reason to leave shortly when your lease is up in, say, four years. The Jazz still draw pretty well to the DC despite being mired in a rebuild.

Luka and Jokic would be a terrible fit, but it'd be fun basketball at least.

Yeah, and if you got an IQ over 10 you tell your GM "how about you're searching another line of work?" when he proposes this kind of franchisekilling s*** to you? :banghead:

I think that the Mavericks won this trade and that’s scenario isn’t out of reach. The Mavs just got the best defensive player in the league who also happens to be a top 5 overall player in the league. They also got an upcoming two-way player in Christie. They got waaaaaaay better.
