Impressive run by Fat Kat. Puts him in 1st place for now in the Playoff Game Threads competition.
The 9 game streak doesn't count?

It's like all the progress and good vibes of the 5 game win streak are erased. Wtf is wrong with JBs free throw shooting. There was an awful stretch in the 4th where Shamet airballed a three, JB went 1-4 from the line, Deuce missed a wide open three then a drive, JB threw the ball out of bounds, Bridges missed, Kat got a charge (although shaky call). Terrible stretch. Three point D was awful.
aside from the og injury - the 3 point defense is frustrating. the game plan of 'if we die we die' by giving up open 3s is terrible. and it's so ominous in the first quarter if role-players come out hot. we know the knicks aren't going to adjust for it and that confidence carries through the whole game. thibs is just going to hope the players go cold or that we will match their "luck".
As if any coach that doesn't suck isn't going to completely exploit that in the playoffs
Oh wait, I know. Broken ass Mitch is going to solve everything.

Broken Mitch is going to solve everything, just like broken Randle solved everything the last two seasons we were in the playoffs.

At least Randle is gone. This season was good for something, while it lasted. Now, it's over.
KAT's hurt and is basically Mr Mediocre.
OG is out for the year.
Mitch of course was always out for the year.
I guess it'll be fun watching Hart and Mikal and Deuce playing 48 mpg along and 30 mpg of Shamet and Payne off the bench, because Dadiet is ass/and or Thibs won't develop him.

You're our official Knicks role player scout because of Ayton, LaVine, DMitch, Randle you watch tons of Blazer, Bull, Cav, Wolf games enough you spot talent like Camara... doubt Blazers trade him tho, any other talent we should look out for ??
we actually just saw another one today, max christie. he played outstanding defense on brunson. the lakers put him in the starting lineup like a month ago and they've been very good since then. lakers won't trade him either though. they signed him to a 4 year extension over the summer for super cheap.
Crazy they traded him like 10 minutes after you posted this

And I thought during the recent win streak we had improved the three point D. So frustrating.
Unfortunately some games really expose how bad Kat's D is. But the coach has to adjust

Nah I'm going with the third choice he detailed near the end, the mildest, shortest time out one.

Usually a player involved in a trade does not play as much as days before the trade is official, let alone hours. Christie still played hours before the trade was official.
What if he had suffered a season ending injury in this game, would that have been a deal breaker for the Mavs... Pelinka and Jeanie woulda committed suicide together LOL

They were on fire and we were off the entire night.
A few thoughts:
- KAT struggled big time. But why don't you run plays for him basically the last 15 minutes anymore? You can then play Sims as well if he is just standing around under the basket.
- Brunson was absolutely terrible. Off the entire night and then a lot of overdribbling in the 4th
- Precious and McBride very good off the bench again
- Thibs couldn't adjust to their hot shooting from three once again.. not surprised
- Hart incredible on offense and on the boards... but his defense on Lebron was so freaking bad. He made him seem like prime Heat-LBJ
To be fair, LBJ made about 8 very tough shots
