That's the problem though blood, and this makes absolutely no sense from a business perspective.
The team traded one of the most popular players on the team and in the entire NBA who was becoming the face of international ball. And they did it for a guy that was made fun of coming out of the league for not being marketable.
They traded the best player in the deal, they gave up the best assett.
The assett was also younger, and gave them a longer/greater window to compete and build brand awareness.
Luka in theory was also more controlled as an asset given the Supermax, as compared to AD, who can opt out in a couple years.
This makes no sense business wise other than "Make LaKeRs ReLeVeNt AGaIn" Which is why most people see strait through all the gaslighting and propaganda. This was clearly a more made from the league, no one with an MBA and decades of experience in business would do this
Kyrie is a FA at the end of the year, and will probably leave now.
They now are putting themselves in the same boat as LAC/MIA having to pay a 34 year old max money on the down turn of their career.
Mavs essentially traded in their chance to compete for 10 years for a 2 year window with AD when Lively is hurt, and will be blowing it up in the offseason...
Anyone but Lakerand LeBron fans can see that logically/financially/aesthetically makes no sense. There is a reason you guys are so happy about the trade my guy
