I do agree that the lakers didn’t win this trade. But as I mentioned before, who runs the offense in Dallas now?
Kyrie. Moves to his natural PG position and let Chrsitie develop alongside him an come off the bench. They lost their best defensive players and picked up a 270 pound hamburgular who plays the same role as bron.
Lakers REALLY **** up. GG.

I don’t see the trade going through.
This trade will go through, no problem. The NBA does not own either team.
That's not how it works. The commissioner has a obligation to keep the integrity of the game intact.
So not vetoing the trade tells us all we need to know about this soap opera ****.

I wish he would, though.

Whoever they get a center won't be able to make up for the combined lack of effort on the perimeter. Whoever it is - lord have mercy on their soul.
While I think you can get a lot out of the combined playmaking and versatility of Doncic/Lebron, it's undeniable the Lakers roster is now completely lopsided. No real workable bigs, so unless there's another trade coming, the Lakers are likely to go for wing heavy lineups. Picture Luka/Reaves/DFS/Lebron/Vando (Rui can be used in lineups like this too.). Offensively, I'm sure this could be pretty dynamite, even with some icky shooting. Defensively, Lebron and Luka both really struggle with making long rotations. Lebron because he's old, Luka because he's slow and heavy and not always active on that end.

Irving can’t run an offense.
But I do agree… this isn’t as good of a trade for LA as people are making it out to be.

People in here REALLY think Lebron didn't know is crazy af.

Why would you waste time trying to talk LeBron off the ledge when Luka fn Doncic is being handed to you and you need to make a move before the Mavs come to their senses. Anyone with above room temperature IQ pulls the trigger first and answers questions later LMFAO
Because it's LBJ. And he brough over AD himself. How gullible are you?

I assume he demanded to go to LA. Because if not, why not have an all out trade war for him? There is no doubt they could’ve gotten so much more in return from other teams.
Just for what little they got in return. I feel like it has to be one of 2 things.
1. He demanded a trade only to LA and made it known he was going to bounce to free agency in 2 summers unless it was to the Lakers
2. There is massive red flags with his medical that we’re don’t know about.
Luka is basically like the modern Shaq. When he's not playing basketball whether injured or not his conditioning and weight probably get all out of whack but it never matters because of how ridiculously elite he is when he's on the court. But it does make me wonder if Shaq acted the way he did in these current times with the bigger salaries and supermaxes would some teams be wary of throwing that much money on him based on said habits. Even with all of Luka's success there have been no signs from day one that he really takes the off-season seriously and maybe the Mavs thought that similar to Shaq, Luka honestly felt no need to change his habits because he's been a top 5 NBA player all this time anyway.
I think the Mavs GM is also feeling himself a little too much and unfortunately there are a few NBA GMs who act the same way(Booth, Horst, Pelinka, others). I also think that the Mavs organization is probably smelling themselves by a lot because there's not a chance in hell that a small market team trades a top 3 player in his 20s who didn't ask to be traded or said they wanted out. A lot of these new owners think they are the smartest people in the room even when sports are not their expertise.

These folks are VERY gullible. Or intentionally acting like that because they want to believe he's not trying to stack the deck.

I don’t think that’s how this all works. Silver can’t just veto a trade because he doesn’t like it.
