dallas is such a huge market i can't see why they would want to move a team from there or even see the league signing off on it. I tend to believe this is just gross mismanagement - unchecked hubris - thinking they're smarter than they actually are.

idk though - maybe there is something to this - because this is the worst trade I've ever seen. it's one of those trade ideas that some ballboy post that prevents me from going into the trades/rumor threads. and it happened. so at this point i'll give credence to any and all speculations on why this went down. i'm flabbergasted.

Mavs fans are saying the above stuff about the Mavs owners being shady and the team being stripped down to move them is quite likely true

And now the NBA is leaving one of its larger markets for Vegas? Why? They already have an expansion team coming. If the Dallas ownership wanted casinos they would have waited a couple more years and just had the expansion team. The Mavs aren’t moving. Interesting.

Las Vegas already has pro Hockey, Football and are in the process of getting baseball. I assumed expansion would be the way they got basketball, but I guess it's this.
