Trade LeBron
The Lakers have found themselves with an all-time gift, landing a 25-year-old superstar, which should push for a reorganization around Luka... This season, Luka is injured and when he returns it will take some time to get the necessary chemistry with his new teammates, especially such a special player with such high usage, also the fit between LeBron/Luka seems defective since in my opinion they overlap and They also need to balance the team and improve the central position... With this scenario and with LeBron having no time to lose, is there any trade that makes sense? Of course we will have to take into account that destiny makes sense for LeBron... Cavs/Warrios? Expand it even further with the Mavs?

It would be pretty cool if he was traded to GS to team up with Steph and Dray for one last run

Re: Trade LeBron
CLE can't match the salary without a member of their core four, and even if they could LeBron would ruin everything that's special about the current team (defense and ball movement).
If this has offended him so deeply he no longer wants to retire a Laker he's welcome back on a pre-retirement 10 day next year.

The brainworm spreads from Dallas to LA and the Lakers flip him for Beal/pick.

Klay Thompson, Daniel Gafford, Naji Marshall, Max Christie
for
LeBron, Bronny, and a couple picks
Doesn't even balance this whole trade out all the way

To SAS for Wemby.

They should move him so they can get some depth with Luka

Think the only (realistic) trading partners for LeBron is Golden State and Cleveland.

Re: Trade LeBron
Isaiah Joe, Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, picks.
Or something around Hart.
OKC probably wouldn’t do it, but money could be found to match, and the value.

Re: Trade LeBron
There just isn’t a trade that makes sense for Cleveland. Maybe for a depth package of Strus-LeVert-Niang-Okoro, but Bron would need to force his way to Cleveland for this to happen.
Cavs won’t trade Allen for LeBron, and they sure as heck won’t trade a Mobley, Mitchell, or Garland.

Don't bother. He's just going to sign in Cleveland on a minimum deal this summer to help them win their 2nd and 3rd championship in a row.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I can see Lebron opting out this offseason. The Mavs could also be a landing spot with AD/Kyrie.

Re: Trade LeBron
I don't have LBJ at 40 as worth $50M in cap space. He's posted a - 2.4 +/- and his on/off is an abysmal -8.7. Even if you tell yourself that some of that is attributable to fact he expends exactly zero effort on defense in the regular season, $50M is way too much cap to allocate to a guy who you have to cover for defensively all season long.

Re: Trade LeBron
I mean LeBron could look to a different situation. One might be the Spurs to play with Wemby + Paul and take Bronny with him
To San Antonio
-LeBron James
-Bronny James
-Christian Wood
To Los Angeles
-Harrison Barnes
-Zach Collins
-Tre Jones
-2 Atlanta 1st round picks

Re: Trade LeBron
I know lebron is probably worth less than Jarrett allen, but I think Cleveland does that to get 2 real title runs.
Allen + Levert + strus
For
Lebron + knecht + 2031 1st
Luka gets his big man
Lebron goes back to Cleveland to end his career with another ring.

You need to consider roster construction, player age, and contract details. Allen, at 26, is signed to a 5-year, $130 million contract. LeBron, at 40, has a 2-year, $100 million deal with an opt-out clause. Allen absolutely has more value to Cleveland than LeBron would.

Re: Trade LeBron
While it's fun idea, I think Lebron is probably into Doncic's game and wants to play with him. Golden State should be targeting Durant instead of LBJ.

I would need to keep Strus. Replace Strus with Niang and Okoro and I would consider this. The 2031 trade chip would be nice for the future and Knect would be a nice rotation player. The Lakers get their long-term center to team with Luka.
