Are you guys serious? Luke dragged a very average roster to the finals at 24 averaging 30/10/10, he is a phenom. Calling him fat, lazy, selfish? Shame, what would that make you?

i know this will be heresy here but giannis and AD are basically a wash. like id rather have giannis but in any given year and depending on roster makeup AD could be better

Trying to rationalise this for the Mavs in anyway is crazy.

Hey im not saying id do that deal. Just saying it seems pretty obvious they either didnt want to supermax Luka or they thought he wouldnt take the supermax.

yeah then years went by and he got fat and became eligible for a supermax.

who wants to bet with this calf injury he put on 30 pounds. if this is about his weight and health and money then the dallas owners might not be as cheap as they may be smart.

I can buy they didn’t want to extend Luka & valued AD since they want to win right now and probably couldn’t get a better individual player in return, still doesn’t make sense why they didn’t max out the Lakers offer.

idk how reliable they would be but Kyrie and AD have all the talent in the world, maybe put Jimmy in between them for new big 3.

Yeah, if this was truly about winning immediately and needing a two way PF, then they should have offered the Bucks Luka, Lively, Mavs 25 1st, and Mavs 31 1st for Giannis and filler.

I saw somewhere that the Mavs did approach one other team with a Luka trade but were rejected, wonder who that was
