Maybe the Knicks could have used the draft picks that were used on Mikal Bridges for Doncic instead

those who said mitchell robinson would be our midseason trade were correct. except i don't think they predicted we'd be sending og in the transaction. swapping one injury ridden monster player for another adds up in retrospect

Relationships. Pelinka and the Mavs GM are friends. Dallas only offered Luka to the Lakers.

It's like all the progress and good vibes of the 5 game win streak are erased. Wtf is wrong with JBs free throw shooting. There was an awful stretch in the 4th where Shamet airballed a three, JB went 1-4 from the line, Deuce missed a wide open three then a drive, JB threw the ball out of bounds, Bridges missed, Kat got a charge (although shaky call). Terrible stretch. Three point D was awful.

aside from the og injury - the 3 point defense is frustrating. the game plan of 'if we die we die' by giving up open 3s is terrible. and it's so ominous in the first quarter if role-players come out hot. we know the knicks aren't going to adjust for it and that confidence carries through the whole game. thibs is just going to hope the players go cold or that we will match their "luck".

And I thought during the recent win streak we had improved the three point D. So frustrating.

Unfortunately some games really expose how bad Kat's D is. But the coach has to adjust

Watched the game at the garden and to actively see thibs leave the team in drop and coach them to do this is the most frustrating thing. When we win, the talent of the team is able to surpass his shortcomings, when we lose, he makes ZERO in game adjustments, it’s maddening to see him not call out any plays for KAT to start the game. That’s why I feel we will never win a ring with Thibs, we might get close, but never enough to win.

In addition, the fragility of our non-Nova players means we'll likely always be missing a vital piece or two come playoffs.

And then after that lets announce a shocker of a trade where the Lakers absolutely fleece the other team for a 25 year old superstar.

Impressive run by Fat Kat. Puts him in 1st place for now in the Playoff Game Threads competition.

The 9 game streak doesn't count?

Unfortunately, Wingo is now having memory issues. Inevitable.

Who won 9 in a row?

Ohhhhhh right. Context. How could I forget that beautiful run.

Let’s keep track.

1. Context (9 game streak)
2. buzzardman? (Can’t remember the number of games but I know it was against weak competition)
3. Fat Kat (5 game streak)
4. ???

We struggle against teams who know how to space and shoot. Lakers shot near 50% from deep.

I refuse to believe this.

Also, that's still like, what, 2 weeks away? Mitch going to suit up for 15 games? Yay?

Traded dood RIGHT away lmao

Usually a player involved in a trade does not play as much as days before the trade is official, let alone hours. Christie still played hours before the trade was official.

What if he had suffered a season ending injury in this game, would that have been a deal breaker for the Mavs... Pelinka and Jeanie woulda committed suicide together LOL

They were probably on the phone dealing him during the game

Nico said he and Pelinka had been talking for 3-4 WEEKS

Nico on press conference looked like someone who just burned a religious holy book, and he knew he's about to be murdered

You gotta remember Dallas is a dirty dishonest scum franchise. They traded Harrison Barnes in the middle of a game. It was very awkward
