So first off....Luka is a ball-dominant high volume shooter, with his own injuries, and a conditioning issue. So let's not pretend the Lakers were just gifted Jordan, or something. If AD was 25, I'd totally take him over Luka any day, and week. Now I admit AD is not 25, and is in fact nearing the end of his dominance. But he's still a top 10 player, and still a defensive beast. If the League were to actually veto this thing.....except for the fact that now there would be irreparable damage done, and the Lakers would be forced to move Davis now with zero leverage, and would get screwed.....I'd take it back myself.
Plenty of Laker fans (like myself) who think Luka is a ballhog and an embarrassing flopper. He's won squat. We watched Harden play the same game for a decade, and fall short......so no...the B-Ball Gods didn't just gift the Lakers the new Jordan. Obviously Luka is an amazing shooter, and scorer. He's younger. The Lakers, from a business standpoint (and maybe a B-ball standpoint) came out ahead. But this is hardly the most ludicrous trade of all time.
Secondly....what run? The Lakers (and I know cause I'm a fan) have been absolute dog-sh*** for 12 years....except this one magical season, that had a nice month-long break in the middle. Stop with the conspiracies.....the Lakers needed this back in like 2013, or something.....if this even is "salvation"...which I highly doubt. I think we're gonna be stuck with 8 years of "Harden ball" myself.
