Watching this game just adds so much frustration to the Embiid/George saga.

These guys are playing their asses off but just don’t have enough fire power against these top teams. I hope we get rid of PG this deadline

We would have been better with Jeff Dowtin Junior. If they lose, it's on Nurse.

Idk Dowtin is pretty bad.

We need to get another guard before the deadline

It's pretty obvious Maxey needs a backcourt mate whether Embiid or PG come back or not.

It's Boston, these are tha champs and they're going to be the champs again this year. You could feel it slipping away late third, I turned it off.
Hey...All good tho...We just need to find Maxey some help. We definitely need a center that can body up the big guys in the league like Porzingis and Jokic. We also need a shot maker/creator at the small forward position and we'll be good.

Agreed. I can’t believe I’m saying it but we missed Gordon tonight.

Would be nice to get someone who can shoot and create a little bit

Same...I hate him being here. Terrible addition to this team.

Maxey has no help once they turn up the defensive pressure. Too bad half his team is out every game.

Gordon has been great. We desperately need his shooting.

This was on Nurse. Every forth we just stop moving the ball and slow it down

Too many missed freethrows and too many missed rotations other than that the Sixers played hard, that's all you can ask for with how undemanned they are and Maxey being the only reliable guard.

Nope. This is on the fact that we have $120m of salary on the damn bench.

For this skeleton crew to play as well as they have the last 6 games is a miracle.

Oubre, I hate to say, is a great sell high player. Does a lot of interesting things for contenders: 6'8 rangy athlete, makes effort plays, can handle the ball.

He's just too dumb at times and his jumper is pure chaos. I can't believe how inconsistent he is. 4-8 from FT? Is that real?

With Caleb, Council, and Edwards essentially providing similar skill sets, if we can get some kind of value out of him, I'd do it for sure.

Would PG be playing with his injured lil pinky if he was going to be a free agent this summer?

Would Embiid be playing if he hadn't signed the extension?

yes and no

the same end of game issues happens with or without our injured bros. Every thing stagnates and it becomes all about one guy trying to take on a whole defense with hero ball.....and slow moving sets that make sure the shot will have to come asap with 5 secs left on the clock. I had chalked that up to Biid's slower processing speeds but it seems like it is generally the plan. You can't scheme a play that gets Maxey going towards the rim off a screen? Anything is better than him slowly dribbling up the court into a trap that often ends with Oubre with the hot potato and forced to do something. We allow the defense to dictate what we do too often. Short staffed or not, that is a constant over the years

Agree with this. If we could turn him into a late first, or a couple good seconds, I’d jump on that.

I just think it's a horrible idea to play Lowry, Jackson and Maxey together against the Boston Celtics! Or Lowry and Jackson. This should have been avoided, these are small and old players against big players who can shoot threes. How did Nurse think this was going to turn out? I agree Dowtin is not good but he may have been better than this. Or some other lineup, give Bona a bit more minutes - he actually grabbed some rebounds, but not this.

Maxey used to go into a shell when playing Boston. Now he plays them like a true NBA star. And in turn they are throwing everything including the kitchen sink at him to slow him down. This time it worked, hopefully he will adjust and keep improving. This 76ers team hung tough for most of the game, but besides Maxey who else was there to turn too. And as crazy as it sounds Eric Gordon could have been a big difference maker in this game. But the growth that I have seen in this team over the last few games has been great, both the wins and the losses.

Kelly Obure. I love his energy and when he has played with Embiid, George and Maxey, he has a defined role and he plays it well. BUT his minutes can be split among Edwards, who is playing extremely well, and Council, if need be. So if a deal comes along the 76ers should take it.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)
