Seems like a fantastic deal for the Spurs, they barely gave up anything for a super talented guard in his prime.

I think Fox is a great fit with Wemby. A bigtime scorer who can attack the basket, making the defense collapse, and so freeing up Wemby. And they were able to add Fox without losing Castle, which is win for them also.

It was continous protection, it's nice for Bulls to be allowed to bottom out and get control of their own 1st back. Also matching salary will be on shorter deals/easier to get rid off - and we all know how much Bulls FO loves shedding salary.

Lavine was a negative asset before the season, I think they did well to get back their pick here.

Kings got fleeced, damn. Lavine should be moved again IMO, so the only piece of note that they got was the 2027 spurs pick, which projects to be in the mid to late draft.

Bulls can finally tank without remorse, lol.

This can work for Sacramento if it results in Sabonis becoming even more of a facilitator. Just have to avoid DeMar slowing things down too much because that's what hurt LaVine's game in CHI.

Wow what a great deal for the Spurs. Traded absolutely no real rotation players, the fake Hornets 1st and the Bulls protected 1st which may not have conveyed this year, one of their own firsts in 2027, and the Minny 2031 1st that everyone scoffed at over the summer. Didn't even have to give Sacramento their swap rights back in 2030. Wow. What a trade by Brian Wright

That's the funniest part of this trade - Kings literally gave 1st round swap and 2nd rounder 2031 to Spurs for taking Barnes, and they weren't able to get that back while giving Spurs Fox as well. :lol:

Bulls gave protected 1st rounder to Spurs for facilitation of DeRozan's snt, but at least they got that back, lol.

Lmao, the Kings got a better return for Fox, a player who publcly declared he's not re-signing, than the Mavs did for Luka, a player who wanted to spend his career in Dallas.
