The Fever are now legit title contenders. Obviously Bonner and Howard are short term pieces, so Indy will need to keep shuffling the deck, but for 2025 it has enough quality around its 3 young stars to make a real run at the title.

I guess Colson is too online or something?

Basketball wise seems like a very good fit at backup PG. Can also play offball next to Clark.

Seems like they're going to have give up picks to dump Samuelson and/or Wallace. Probably worth it (within reason) so they can go for it this year.

Fever need to go the draft/stash route with 2nd/3rd rounders.

Did she? I know that Swoopes was skeptical, but I don't recall that.

Struggling to find the full clip, but I have visually seen it to confirm. A few different people have videos about it still, but yea, she was claiming the Fever had a toxic locker room, no one was happy and people wanted to leave, and that no FA would want to sign there.

No chance that the Fever had a toxic locker room, not with Boston & Clark being their team leaders. Two super positive people, the kind whom other players respect and want to be around. But it could be that there was a lot of tension, with all those early losses. Plus, we don't know how popular Sides was with the players. Maybe she was and the Fever made a coaching change solely because the new GM wanted her own person in there. Or maybe she wasn't.

From what I've seen, Sheryl Swoopes is to the WNBA how Charles Barkley is to the MNBA.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

Erica Wheeler and Temi Fagbenle were also super positive leaders last year, and older vets who were respected by the younger players. Kelsey Mitchell seems like a really good teammate too, although she had a very tough year personally with her dad passing away.

I have no idea how the players actually felt about Sides, but they seem very excited about playing for Stephanie White.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

Agreed about their reception of White, which has me reading between the lines about Sides. That said, they did play well for Sides, after the rough start.

Dantas will be an important part of this team. She's the backup big, has been in good shape overseas, and has been playing well.

The Fever began the 2024 season with Smith & Samuelson as its starting forwards, both of whom are wretched defenders. It will begin 2025 with 2 of Howard/Bonner/Cunningham as its starting forwards. Now that's a HUGE defensive improvement.

The Fever still will not have an elite defense, due to the Clark/Mitchell pairing, but it at least should be average. Perhaps slightly above. Whereas last year it really had no chance to be a decent defensive team, not with that personnel.

Brynna Maxwell for the last spot ideally.

Then use their picks on draft-stash players.
