We would have gotten the Spurs pick back just by trading Zach. The only nuance here, which does matter, is that we don't have to worry about losing it any of the subsequent years.
Horrendous trade.
For a guy who values picks ... he sure has a funny way of showing it. Not pushing for picks when he should have (e.g. OKC) and carelessly throwing in 2nd rounders like they're candy (e.g. this trade, Spurs).
I think the other GM fakes some hesitation and he throws it in to sweeten the pot. 'Oh I can just go buy another one' ... but yet he doesn't.ChiTownHero1992 wrote:lmao at everyone yelling about needing more picks (no one wanted Zach) i'm A-OK with this trade! Cut the salary in half with Tre's expiring
Not even close my friend.
Zach salary: $$43,031,940
Tre salary: $9,104,167
I think AK is notorious for not valuing picks.
Oh I agree, I sarcastically make that comment for a guy who puts unrealistic price tags on his own players to be traded... only to hand them out like candy.
We could of had 2 picks for Drummond.
Supposedly 1/2 for Caruso ...
But hey, we get our pick, which was like at 97% likely we'd retain it this year... back. Woo.
