Pat Riley is going to play Ishbia like a drum (or fiddle) - whatever the saying

Now the Spurs, Rockets, Grizz and OKC have better futures than the Suns and better presents

Spurs didn't give up Vassell or Castle

If Ishbia is being honest with himself - he calls up the Warriors and listens on Durant and Booker too. And if Butler is traded to the Suns - Ryan Dunn will be a Chicago Bull.

Brett Siegel is reporting the Warriors asked about Durant

Kings got a nice haul for Fox too. Lavine and 3 firsts + 3 seconds is about as good as you could hope for.

They'd beat us in a 7 game series i think at least.

I am not sure the Suns would win a 7 games series against many teams - in a 7 game series. Even with Butler

Damn. Spurs kept Castle and Vassell. They still got a ton of depth. Going to be a tough out if they make the playoffs this year and for the foreseeable future.

Damn if only...

Although that being said if we blow up I really don't rate any of the warriors prospects  just the picks.

Guess id ask for kuminga and picks but yeah they're all pretty meh. But KD is 37 so whatever it's fair.

Also about Fox/Lavine

Lavine in theory a much better fit with Saboner and DeRozan. I still hate the DeRozan acquisition though I think he is a bad fit himself with Sabonis.

Lavine is still really good and having a resurgence. He's one of the best shooters in the league from 3, can create for himself, and is not too much worse than Fox on D.

Luka just got traded for Mr. Glass and 1 FRP. You honestly think that Riley isn't rethinking his strategy?

As I heard today, this began as a discussion of "what if" between Harrison and Pelinka. That was three weeks ago. Then it got serious and moved beyond that to "what would it take to make it work".

As I also heard today on ESPN radio, apparently Harrison reached out to another team and was rebuffed immediately. That team was not named.

While I know that James's time in the league is coming to a quick end, this certainly extends his window. He's not going anywhere at this point and we're all just going to have to deal with it. For better or worse, this is where we are now. And while we all love to hate the Lakers, the NBA isn't going to have one of their biggest cash cows wandering off the main prairie.

I'm not going down the road to collusion between the commissioner and anyone else, but this is a pretty egregious move that has shaken the foundation of the league.

Beal and 1 first. Take it or leave it. We are not bidding against anyone but ourselves now

I assumed the 2031 pick would be included so if we keep 1 out of 3 thatd be better

I think Ishbia stands firm on Durant and rebuffs all offers even if they're genuinely helpful. It's Beal for Butler and Nurkic for whoever. That's it.

Aren't NBA fans sick of watching these hostage-taking scumbags?
