Will be neat to see how good the Spurs can be this year, and just the things they're going to be able to do offensively. Maybe Fox's defense can come back a bit.

Spurs just need one more dynamic player at hybrid forward (not necessarily a Kawhi replacement, but someone with SF/PF-size), and then they're good to go basically for main guys around Wemby.. but not yet, and still need some better, consistent shooters to emerge. Castle being an all-star-level player will be important.. even if its like an Iguodala type who can step up as needed.

that 2025 1st round pick from the hornets is top 14 protected and will turn into a 2026 2nd rounder if not conveyed. So really the Kings just got 2 1sts. Have not seen if there are any protections on the Spurs pick and I assume the Wolves pick will go to the Kings without any protections.

Great trade for all involved. Spurs obvious winners, but King fans can go to sleep happy tonight.

CHI goes for the rebuild, dumps Lavines salary, and got the 1st they were looking for. They brought back mid younger players who can eat minutes for the rebuild that's now here. Getting their pick back gives them more flexibility going foward. It isn't lost on me that Bulls will have a ton of tradeable contracts, and an be facilitators during the rebuild for more assets. I give this a C for the Bulls. They chose a direction.

King's get another guy that's putting up 25/5/5 and he's a Cali guy. Getting 2 FRP and a boat load of 2nds was nice and gives them flexibility. We've see if this rallies the team and they can continue to play well, but I don't like their roster imbalance now. Too man guards/wings that want to ball and to score. They need another guard, but it seems Sabonis is going to be running a lot more offense.

This team is still one major piece away, and DD has to come off the bench. It could be worse, they need to look for a DD trade while using those picks, and hope they continue to find solid players for cheap. I give the trade a B+ for the Kings. They did better than expected for this situation.

Obviously the Spurs won this deal, and added a Top 10 PG in the league fo essentially just picks and salary filler. Great get buy the Spurs, and they still have a ton of assets. Not a single young guy went out, and they kept most of their draft capital. They will be adding more young talent to a core of:

Sochan
Vassell
Castle
Fox

They have a veteran bench now stacked with talent in Paul, Keldon, Champagnie, and Barnes.

Add another contender to the growing list of them out West, Jesus. I like having a clear pecking order and adding another dynamic scorer. Fox should be able to break down defenses and abuse the spacing of Vik. I like how they can still package Keldon and other superfluous picks for another player in a decent salary slot.

Overall just fantastic trade for the Spurs, for now and the future. A+.

Depends on who the league is planning to send to the Lakers to compliment Luka. I could see Giannis or Tatum getting traded to LA next season. Maybe Jokic, although he's not a great fit.
