Face it. We are not a contender with what have now. We are not even one player away either. Time to wake up fans. Blow it up and say no to Butler.

Yeah, this is becoming more and more abundantly clear.

You're delusional things like rebounding requires an overhaul. The Grizz just had guys who can move & run to the ball.

Like, you don't have nuance to look at cause-effect. Just emote or know how to be cynical. That's not being a voice of reason.

We need a new set of eyes at GM too. Horst has been over his head for years and I’m sick of him getting a pass. He clearly has no idea how to do anything other than make ballsy trades. He has no ability to build a modern, smart team. We should’ve let him go to Detroit.

Most teams teams have guys who can move to the ball. Just keep dreaming. ;)

Not a good look either that Ryan Hoover was apparently the architect behind the Dame acquisition. Then Horst allowing Jrue to Boston to happen. Putrid drafting. Many thanks for the title, but yeah, time for an adult leading that room (not Doc.)

Sidenote, Hoover was a giant douche the one time I met him.

Losing to every good team is not a good sign.

I just can’t fathom how someone can watch this team and think, “yeah, they’ll get it together in the postseason” without lying to themselves.

Trade Dame, to little D and to random. Get a athletic 4/5 and a real point back and see where we are.

You just refuted your own argument. lol. They are in abundance, so they shouldn't require a major investment. Just intent.

Maybe get Jimmy, bring PJ back when he gets waived, resign Pat Bev, have Thanasis sit on the bench, Bobby returns from his absence

That is 100% on Horst to not dictate Jrue's destination. Why should that be Portland's call to make? Shop him, present the offers you're willing to accept to Portland, and let them choose between them.

Terrible Jrue return for Portland, but should not have been their decision. Period. All in the name of secrecy and not disrupting the locker room. Beating the dead Horst, but alas.

I think Horst needs to go too, but how would he, or any GM, prevent another team from trading one of their players to another team?

What's hilarious is you don't know you can get another team involved in a trade that actually wants a player. It was predictable he would get rerouted from Portland who was a tanking team, & Boston were a serious threat, to the point I predicted it.

We shouldn't have more foresight than our own GM. They're supposed to be the experts who think of details.

It's called a 3-way trade. You field offers for Jrue and present them to Portland. Say pick one of these or no deal. This isn't hard.
