Sidenote, Hoover was a giant douche the one time I met him.

I think Horst needs to go too, but how would he, or any GM, prevent another team from trading one of their players to another team?

It's called a 3-way trade. You field offers for Jrue and present them to Portland. Say pick one of these or no deal. This isn't hard.

That team can still trade him after that. This isn't that hard

You really think if an interested contender in the West traded for Jrue, they would flip him to Boston for Brogdon and Timelord? Horst held the cards, you guys are being daft. Just don't trade him to a rebuilding team.

If that were the case, are you worried the Warriors reroute Jrue? That's my point. Horst could have said here's what we got for Jrue from GSW to send your way, along with our picks, take it or leave it.

I apologize, not trying to be insulting at all. I just think it's silly to think Horst couldn't have been selective in offers from contenders to get a suitable package for Dame. We know conversations weren't had because Horst didn't want to disrupt the locker room. He left it up to Portland.

The thing about Dame like you pointed out here, there are still multiple teams that would line up to give us solid value for him before this Thursday.

Dame is grossly overrated, but his PR team is next level. Dame's PR team got Dame on the 75th anniversary team and thanks to Dame's PR team we can currently still get great value for him.

But I will say the same thing about Dame that I said about Middleton last February, trade him NOW. If you hold on to Dame beyond Thursday, his value is going to plummet by the off-season.

What we will be able to get for Dame this summer will be scraps compared to what we can get for him right now.

And nothing on this Buck's roster is fixable until Dame is no longer on the roster. Dame is the Anthony Mason of the Giannis era.

Worst possible thing for us is that we play the 12-34 Hornets on Wednesday.

If we win that one we won't make any moves, because beating the Hornets will mean that all is well again. The ship is back on course.

Trading Dame at this point of the year would be madness. We need to see this thing out, for better or worse. Dame, Giannis and Dairy are prob the three I wouldn’t trade atm. Everyone else is free game but only if there’s an upgrade available.

Too many problems to fix midseason. Team needs to re-evaluate in the offseason, and perhaps figure out answers to questions they really don't want to ask.

Time to trade Midds/Bobby for Butler. If it's only a rental who cares, all that money comes off the books next season then at least. Rebuild around Giannis/Dame then.

Going for Butler feels gross unless he goes nuts in the playoffs.

Either do Midds/Bobby for Butler after PatC to Detroit as a hail mary (assuming it doesn’t cost the 31 first or rip the badaid off now and do Dame/Brook to Houston for FVV/Adams/Eason/whatever picks they’ll include.

Please don’t keep this team together any longer.

Sounds like that Luka trade has Giannis considering asking out, wrt being in a more stable organization.

Like if its looking ugly in the post-season & whatever the FO does.

Wouldn't blame him. He's been carrying the team too much.

My faith in Doc is low too. Seems like he really hasn't maximised his time here. That's on ownership f'ing up with Griff & getting hasty to bring him in.

Just a really sad situation, all unnecessary.

If there is a deal out there for Dame or Khris or whoever besides Giannis then take it, I don’t buy this team as a legit contender so I don’t need to see this team get destroyed in the playoffs first. There isn’t anything to build on or reasonable expectation to improve next season. Will the Bucks get anything more in the offseason?

At this point, I think I'd be fine with trading Dame and Khris for the Memphis role players.

Just putting 2 & 2 together. He's said this in the past wrt extending, prior to the Dame deal or Jrue from NO , coinciding with a championship.
