Don’t ever do that against a playoff calibre team lol.

Don't ever wear those uniforms against a playoff caliber team either. :)

Shoddily researched info...

This is tied for the 3rd biggest comeback in Celtics history. Record is 32 points vs. San Antonio (JT's 60-pt classic).

This is the biggest comeback (down 26) in Celtics history that late in the game (14:56 left in the game). Previous record was 26 points with 22:27 left in the game vs. Houston. That one was a classic too. No fan in the last 10 years can forget this...

It's also the 2nd biggest Celtics comeback on the road at any point in the game. Record is 27 points @ Orlando (2Q) in 2012.

I didn't see any significant changes made from 1st half to 2nd half.

The only difference was the Cs made their shots in the 2nd half.

Defense was the difference
Defense creates offense

No more strolling in the paint for layups
No more allowing open 3s
The 76rs G-League choked when we started playing real defense

And then made the open looks and attacked the paint with abandon (which we didn't in the first half)

Notice that when we played a lone big in the dunker spot we played the best (Kornet). Led to Hauser multiple open 3s and more layups
And when JT started attacking the paint he got double teamed which led to easy offense

For me it is a AOS win

Play the defense we played in the 4th all game and this was a 30 point blowout and the stay ready crew playing the whole 4th
Playing the starters 40+ minutes against a depleted team is really bad

As I am constantly saying - my criticism derives from the potential I see with this team. No one can beat us in 7. But why get to 7 when you can finish it with 4-5. Too much potential and too many games we play dumb and lifeless

We need to stop playing down to other teams level and we win all these games like we did last season by alot

Exactly!

Joe threatened to put the bench guys in and that turned things around.

The players make the coach, not the other way around.

No mention of how Joe trusted Kornet in the 3rd and 4th qtr.?

Cs made the come back when it was Kornet playing Center and not Al.

Joe recognized that Al was no good, so he didn't put Al back in and went with Luke in the 3rd and 4th qtr.

I guess this part of my post above doesn't count :)

Yeah, I was referring to the comment that Joe does not hold his players accountable.

I think benching Al in the 2nd half is holding Al accountable for being no good.

And you're right about using a single big opened up Hauser.

If it's true that Joe sticks with fixed rotation then he would have gone double big in this game too.

But Joe recognized that there was no need for the double big because the 6ers were going small.

Voted Tatum and Coach, because it seems like Joe did a good job of rallying the troops, and righting the ship.

Also worth noting that Al sat out the 2nd half. Took some balls to not play Al the whole 2nd half. But it worked. Wonder if Al said at halftime he was too tired to play? I can't picture him doing that..

Nice win.

That 4th quarter was one of the best quarters we've played all season. Not sure what happened, but the team started to care for the 1st time in a long time. It's like all of the sudden they get tired of playing like crap for the past 2 months and had something to prove.

VC to Tatum and Brown. Tatum was great. He best game in about a month.

White and KP played well.

Kornet did a good job giving up offensive rebounds in his limited minutes.

Sad to see Horford playing this way. Even after about a week off. Usually he bounces back from rest and plays well, not this season though.

Props to Hauser, who's 3 point shooting in the 2nd half helped with the come back.

Credit to Joe and the coaching staff for turning this game around.

Right
Al isn't playing good in the last couple of games. Missing layups, not guarding well, poor rebounding
I don't think it is age. He seems slower

Also, the Kornet remark is true. I wonder if Joe would stick with him even if KP isn't in foul trouble. KP got his blocks, but was poor on defense as he was blow by so many times for an easy layup. He can't, and shouldn't, guard the 3pt line

Al’s an expiring deal worth a pretty penny. What value does he bring to another team if he’s obviously slowing down? They’ll still be in the penalty because they’re over the cap even if they move him. Also attaching a 2034 2nd would even be a terrible move.

Agree.

KP guarding at the 3pt line is a disaster waiting to happen.

Looking like Luke is now better than Al.

That's why trading for another big should be considered.

The defensive effort and focus totally changed as the second half went along. You can tell right away when these guys are really there to play on D. And it's pretty rarely in the first half.

I also think Yabu and the Sixers carrying on in the first half woke up the sleeping giant. If Philly wasn't so in your face with their excitement the Celtics probably would have just stayed asleep.
