Re: Kings - Mavs
Easy yes for the Kings, but not sure I see the fit/reason for DAL.
If DAL intends on playing Davis at PF and Lively/Gafford at C, I’d think they’d like to make sure their PG, SG, and SF can all shoot the 3 ball at a good clip considering Davis isn’t going to be the best floor spacing PF.

Unless it’s just Nico is dumb, I feel like Dallas is owned an asset here? And probably a minor addition but would want Powell swapped for two vet mins. No reason to go close to the tax for that trio..
But I’d rather start PJ at SF and slide him and AD up after 4 minutes.. even if that doesn’t actually work.

Dallas can't afford to do that, they need what both PJ and Nani bring way more than what DD brings.

Re: Kings - Mavs
Again I see the logic for Dallas. But if the idea is Dallas wants to be a defensive team now I think they feel PJ is a must. He's still going to have to be the primary big wing defender and with Kleber gone and Marshall included in this proposed deal it leaves Dallas with no backup to AD other than Prosper.
I think Dallas would rather spend draft capital to add a scorer rather than PJ.

I think it makes more sense to let you guys keep Marshall. I’d still be fine with a Washington for DeRozan swap.
Ideally, I’d like to somehow use DeRozan, our $16.8 mil TPE, and the 1sts and 2nds we just acquired to trade for PJ Washington, Cam Johnson, and Day’Ron Sharpe. I think that balances out our roster very well and gives us a massive injection of shooting (Fox, Huerter, & DeRozan for LaVine, Johnson, & Washington).

I made a similar post last night as a 3 teamer. I don't think you can ask for naji/Washington, Dallas would want to keep naji for the wing defense.
Think it's demar for washington/powell/exum. Dallas gets a scorer × keeps a wing defender. Kings get Washington

This is it. Posted this on kings board minus Sharpe.
Monk/Carter
Lavine/Keon
Johnson
Keegan/Washington
Sabonis/lyles/Jones
I think this is actually a roster that makes sense. Shooters to space around monk/sabonis. Lavine can drop 20/25. Actually have 5 playable guys over 6'8.

I'm thinking maybe Trey Lyles could be worked into the deal with his 8 million expiring to help with depth behind AD and Gafford?
I kinda see DeMar being a very strong wing scorer for that Dallas roster who'd fit nice with Klays distance shooting?

I don't hate DD as a 6th man, run the 2nd unit guy. Don't think he works well with the 2 centers lineup Dallas will now be running, but assuming they play one big for 2/3 of the game until Lively gets back, there would be enough minutes for DD with lineups that work.
But while I get why the Kings only want to deal him to Dallas for PJ and not draft capital, the opposite would be true for Dallas who even with keeping Marshall or getting Lyles too(though salary matching gets much more difficult there, Dallas shouldn't go into tax for Lyles), Dallas would still need a legit starting option.

Demar + 27 spurs 1st for Washington + filler (powell/exum)
I wouldnt blink at giving the mavs a late 1st back here. Not sure how that changes the value since they want to win now. But think both teams address some needs with this.
