We need to trade Brook for any semi athletic decent defensive C whether or not they have any offensive abilities. We can't hide all of Dame, Khris, Bobby and Brook on defense. Not all of our problems are due to Brook, but it's time to move on.

Wait, Suns are apparently shopping Durant around? What the hell is going on?

Nobody wants to face a Giannis/Dame team in the playoffs. Period. Just stay healthy.

We are losing therefore to every team that has quick, agile attacking guards who beat our poa defenders again and again and again.

We are playing Dame for his star offense because we have only Giannis left who is the superstar offensive player. Dame is leaving a big hole in the poa defense even though his offense is good.

None of the other guards or even sf s is a consistently good poa defender.

Lumbering wings like Crowder was a bad choice last year.

At this point we need agile poa defenders more than anything else.

Blaming Brook for getting beaten by quick guards at the poa spots is completely a misplaced thing to do.

In the next few days, Horst should try to get 2 good poa defending guards.

Simultaneously, Doc must try Tyler Smith, Livingston and AJ Johnson to see if any or aal of them can be good poa defenders. This is CRUCIAL to test out starting Today, not later.

That’s all I have to say now.
Your forgetting about the rebounding problem as well. Giving up offensive rebounds at key moments and being almost dead last in getting them as well.

The Bucks are 4th in defensive rebounding percentage in the entire league. That's not the biggest problem.

It does show the importance of Portis, or someone like him.

As for offenisve rebounding, I think we were near the bottom for most of Bud's tenure in order to stop fast breaks.

Weren't there posters who wanted to trade Middleton & our '31 1st (worth 3-4 late 1sts) for LaVine? The Bulls effectively got 0 interesting players & picks for him. They got their protection lifted on their own pick that likely won't benefit them anyway.

Horst may have multiple burners on this forum. Like Emunney said, we'd can't just have every solution to be to throw everything we have at an established guy when we aren't satisfied w/ our own. There needs to be some projection and imagination. But that may require a new member of the FO, & one that's actually empowered to make some decisions where the existing guys are weak.

I would take Durant over Butler. Both have their problems but that 2 year window is too sweet to pass up.

Ishbia knows he's got an expensive property in a neighborhood that is going down the drain fast. And he wasn't allowed to redevelop the place next door (Jimmy Butler). He's going to try and recoup 2/3'rds of what he paid.

(cough, dame, cough).

No sooner did we get relief from the vile Beal, Lavine rumors (they got nothing for him), up pops Durant. Now that's getting closer to a good player, albeit old.

It's much more likely that Butler goes to Phoenix now in exchange for Durant, with Miami having to give up a few more assets.

Ok, you "trade Dame" guys actually have a worthwhile target for us to discuss now.

If you're Horsty it's gotta be frustrating to see half the league go whale hunting, knowing that you've got nothing other teams want.

KD is a Warriors target. We’re not even in the discussion.

LaVine went for a 1st (removed all the protections) and no long term salary. That’s what Chicago needed to tank and rebuild. That’s far from nothing.

Just 3-days ago I would have said with the utmost confidence that there was zero chance that Fox gets traded before the offseason and a less than zero chance that Luka was traded in the next 3-years. I'm done trying to parse out what's within the realm of possibility.

NBA owners got egos and like playing GM. They aren't that different than us hamburger eating posters.

But I do think Vivek got fleeced, as many felt he would.
