Useless ownership, the worst PL manager since the days of Pepe Mel and Bob Bradley, 16th in the table while playing some of the most pitiful naive football in the league. What self-respecting player would want to join this clown show? It would be like the Titanic recruiting crewmen an hour after the iceberg hit.

Sounds as if Rashford may be off to Aston Villa.

Does anyone else think a loan without obligation to buy is playing a dangerous game? If he flops, or puts in the same effort as he's been for Manchester United, will there even be another club out there wanting him in the summer?

If he does well, maybe Chelsea will pay £50m. Can't be much worse than sitting on the bench for this United squad.
It's time for 5 refs.

We hijacked Wolves' transfer for Kevin Danso. Desperately needed a CB after Dragusin picked up an injury, so I'm glad we at least got someone in. Can't say I know much about him but seems fairly highly regarded.

According to Bayern director of sports Freund, he has almost never experienced so many clubs contacting him as currently with Tel, but it looks like he will now stay with Bayern. I don't understand what Tel's plan is. He doesn't seem to have a chance with Kompany and the competition is strong. He scored big under Tuchel, but also in very limited minutes.

He needs to play. If Bayern pays 90%+ of his salary, he can come to us on a loan for one and a hald years. He'll definitely play and can return to Bayern as one of the best Bundesliga scorers.

Lol Chelsea are the funniest club, refusing to let us have Disasi even though he wants to play for us.

I thought Levy should have lost his position after Pochetino did miracles with young squad for years without any good, smart transfers. Spurs is like Sacramento kings, horrible management aka Sport director who blames everything on the coach. This current manager is another failure of Levy.

Tel is brilliant young player who I have seen a lot of, he is like Gravenberch that Bayern will regret not giving more time to. Why should he go to an angry coach that is screaming at reporters for his failure?

Crystal Palace rejected Tottenham's £70m bid for Marc Guehi.

EDIT: Looks like Tel to Tottenham after all.

Glad to see Rashford is fully committed to Aston Villa.

Rashford said: "It's only short term that I'm here so I want to make the most of my time here. The only way I can do that is by using my attributes and skillsets to help the team."

He'll live in Manchester and commute to Villa for training and games.

Apparently Tel IS joining Spurs now, just on a loan.

What a saga.

Makes no sense unless United didnt want to pay 100% of his wages. Bold move.

Guehi is good, shame we couldn't pull that one off. A lot of money but undoubtedly improves our team. Guehi, VDV, Romero, Danso and Dragusin would actually be a pretty deep CB rotation. However, that's contingent on all of them being fit, which feels like it wont' ever happen.

Possibly PSR issues.

If people weren't aware of the magnitude of the problems at United, being turned down in favour of a dreadful Spurs team will surely inform them. United fans have been roasting Spurs these last few days as well, talk about hubris.

It's pure speculation on my part of course. But I could see that Bayern thought "Wait, so many teams are contacting us, maybe we would regret it if we gave up on him." And decided to only do a loan. Sané, Gnabry, Coman could all be gone soon, Kane turns 32 this summer (although I expect him to be at a top level until he's 36 or 37), so a loan is probably the best option for Bayern.

I mean he’s technically right, it’s only an option to buy so who knows what happens until the end of the season.

Also a few of our players don’t live in Birmingham and commute. Digne and Konsa travel from London for training etc.

Turns out Spurs actually have secured a buy option in the loan deal. That's interesting.

Functionally, I'm not really sure if it matters. If he tears it up, he will likely have a host of suitors and will still have the final say on where he goes.

Read on Twitter

So, it's a loan deal with an option to buy at 55m Euros. Long-term contract already agreed upon if we activate the option. I love this deal.

Meanwhile Villa get Disasi.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Pep Guardiola’s side have agreed a deal with FC Porto for the signing of the Spanish midfielder on the transfer deadline day. He also states that the Cityzens have agreed to pay the same amount as his release clause, around £49.8 million for the 23-year-old, but will pay the amount in a different structure than paying it all in one single payment.

Abdukodir Khusanov for £33.6m
Vitor Reis for £29.6m
Omar Marmoush for £59.1m

January transfer window: £172.1m

It will be comical now if Manchester City fail to make CL for next season.
