For the love of god please trade Paul George before the deadline!

This Luka trade has GMs out here just shooting shots. I'd love to get PG off the team.

If the 6ers were able to trade Drummond and Gordon for 2 expiring contracts and then renounce the 2nd year of KJs contract this summer could they open up the Full MLE for Yabusele?

By my count that would be 16.4 less in salary next season which should put them around 170 million in salary before Yabusele. How does Oubre's situation effect this scenario? What's his cap hold if he opts out?

This is my own math, but I'm generally pretty good at these things. Short answer, yes, but with little additional margin.

Embiid - 55.2
George - 51.6
Maxey - 37.9
C Martin - 8.5
McCain - 4.2
Council - 2.2
Bona - 1.9
Yabu / MLE - 14.1
Incomplete roster - 1.2 * 5
Total - 182.2
Cap - 154.6
LT - 187.8
1st apron - 195.9
2nd apron - 207.8

Using the full MLE would hard cap them at the 1st apron, so the above scenario would leave them about 13.6 to fill 5-7 roster spots. The first five would eliminate an incomplete roster charge, so signing Edwards to a Hinkie special would have little effect, but keeping KJ or Oubre or trading either for equal salary would use up most of that.

As far as this trade deadline goes, the key is getting off of Drummond and Gordon. Fortunately there are rumors that teams have asked about Gordon and the Lakers are known to be looking for a big, leading to speculation about interest in Drummond.

I'd George for Wiggins/Schroeder/GP2/two 1sts

Salary is hard to figure out with Kuminga is involved/becomes a 4-for-1 deal.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Jimmy getting screwed out of his "preferred option" of Phoenix since Beal won't waive his NTC!

Maybe he'll have to kiss and makeup with little Joshy and come back here instead!!!

Well this would be a thing

could it end up with Jimmy to Philly, PG to GWS and young players/picks to Miami?

I don't see Yimmy agreeing to come. He hates our ownership and only wants to play in Phoenix. He already turned down Golden State and Memphis.

However if the price is right (i.e. full MAX extension) then maybe he changes his mind.

Yeah, not doing that for a guy who's on the wrong side of 35 especially if we have to give up assets for him. At least with George, we didn't have to give up assets.

I'll do it straight up, but definitely not adding to PG to get Jimmy. Although that would require a contract agreement w/Butler up front which is another roadblock.

While true, on a personal level I don't lie to myself about anything Philly sports related. Full blown pessimist ready for the Kelce-TSwift script on Sunday.

Morey has to know this isn't working and never will. He has a chance here to reset this whole damn thing by moving George and essentially admitting that it was a mistake - screw the optics at this point.

Get the best package the Warriors will send back, and for the love of God let's move on from this nightmare.

The only thing that could top that would be moving Embiid at the deadline as well.

Amen, brother. I will be so back if we get rid of him and that albatross of a contract.

Just ran 3-Teamer through Sportrac and it works with salary cap. Mix in picks, but below:

PHI In:
1) Andrew Wiggins
2) Robert Williams
3) Gary Payton II
4) Jabari Walker (Can be bought out/cut)

GSW In:
1) Paul George

POR In:
1) Andre Drummond
2) Buddy Hield
3) Jonathan Kuminga

Why PHI: Essentially swapping PG for Andrew Wiggins. Adding depth at Center and PG.

Why GSW: They trade out depth and expiring players they won't resign for Paul George in order to compete now.

Why POR: They give up Robert Williams and Walker (Vet Min Player) for Drummond, Hield, and Kuminga. Pretty solid return.

I hope he is still both shrewd and realistic enough to recognize that. Its time to hit a full reset with Maxey and McCain as the focal point.

Obviously, if Jo gets his health figured out, that's great but I'm not holding my breath. I can't think rationally about moving Embiid. He's maybe the first Sixer I have been attached to, in my lifetime, beyond just a reasonable valuation as a player/piece of the organization. I recognize that so I'm not gonna even try to go into it.

Jo isn’t trade eligible until the summer anyway. And he won’t have any trade value unless he comes back and plays well the remainder of the season.

But any thoughts of holding PG to be a contender should be gone due to Embiid’s availability. That means if a good long term move for PG is available, time to pull the trigger.

Totally agree - we can only afford one major injury variable with the team.

If we trade PG, we need a replacement wing (Wiggins would be decent) and a backup center who can start in a pinch.

if you are going to sell this deadline then PG HAS to be apart of that. Getting off that contract and pivoting this offseason is probably the "best" move IMO. If the Warriors want to give us Wiggins or Kuminga and DS then do it. That allows you to stay in the play in race or go full tank to keep the pick and if the bad outcomes of that happen (lose in play in or lose the pick) you'd still come out ahead with the saved money.

THE Other path is still probably trading him but for Jimmy (or Ingram) as that will give Maxey another creator to play with and still have the same imo pie in the sky chance of a fluke run if Biid's bones stop being made of wet tissue paper...and STILL get off the PG contract as Morey would probably pull a Harden on Jimmy and let him walk lol.

the boring and more likely path is to stay put, trade Drummond or KJ to save Harris enough money to buy the Nationals and tell everyone bu-but wait until we get healthy doe...

so yeah....who is this years McDaniels, Hield or George Hill addition that adds nothing yo

I’d do Dyson Daniel, Capela, and Hunter + pick for PG.

3 days ago I’d have said no chance but now? Seems like a doable deal!
