No man, you could at least flip Wiggins to a contender who will give shorter contracts and value.

I'd rather not have to pay both Kuminga AND Jimmy in the summer. Would rather have Ausar and Isiah Stewart.

Yeah you could flip Wiggins somewhere, don't know who wants him exactly, maybe Schroeder can go with instead of Pistons? Would Mavs be interested in this combo?

The whole point of Phoenix trying so hard to get Butler is cause KD wants him and is more likely to sign an extension with the Suns if they do. Getting Butler and losing KD defeats the point of getting Butler.

Which makes me wonder if the Warriors continued pursuit of Butler, even after Windhorst saying he told them he won’t sign an extension, is so they can beat Phoenix at their own plan.

Get Butler and use him to help lure KD? Just got reported Warriors owner Joe Lacob and KDs business partner/agent were sitting next to each other during Friday’s GS/Suns game and we’re also hanging out postgame

Pistons would be good with Schroeder taken into cap space

Pistons are not willing to offer up Ausar right now, and even if we were, I don't see anything on the Suns that would entice them -- we are collecting good young players around Cade's age, not giving them up
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

I actually am not sure if that is true. I think Butler is in the Giannis archetype that Bud is familiar with. Bud knows Butler better than most in terms of being an opponent. I think Bud wants Jimmy.

Bud ain’t got the clout to have the Suns overpay Butler cause he wants him imo. It’s a KD call.

Suns can’t send out multiple salaries so not worth getting into further

Yep, Suns can't consolidate and I don't think Warriors are allowed to trade Shroeder since he was recently traded (but I'm no expert, that's just what the trade machine says). I posted a similar idea on the Pistons board that works financially (I didn't include picks but some would have to be included all around to balance things, mostly outgoing from Golden State, I think, though I could see Detroit needing to throw a second at someone):

Golden State
In: Kevin Durant, Pelle Larson
Out: Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney

Phoenix
In: Jimmy Butler
Out: Kevin Durant

Miami
In: THJ, Gary Payton II, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney
Out: Jimmy Butler

Detroit
In: Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Love
Out: THJ

Pretty sure all of the contracts coming to Miami are expiring, which is the major bonus for them (though they get a long look at Kuminga).

Nurk matches the other two.

It’s a legal trade..

I know I threw it up, but I can’t see Ishbia living over the second apron that far/long for a group that isn’t actually a contender.

It still has to be aggregated at three separate deals. Regardless, the three Suns have to be trade in stand alone deals from the Suns for sending out players. If breaking up the deal into separate deals doesn’t make it legal for cap rules, the trade would be a no go from that stand point.

Yeah. But that doesn’t apply to the OP.. The OP is a legal trade. Because Nurk matches the other two incoming.

How do you propose for that to happen? Unless you’re sending Book home, I don’t see a starter for that trade.

(would obviously pay a lot more than that for Book, but there’s no other base assets to get the conversation started)

Yeah I think the Beal deal really hurt them. Maybe smarter to just try get better pieces around Beal, Booker, Durant.

That was always the smarter play but no one said Phoenix was smart.

I think Golden State, Milwaukee or Memphis are the most likely spots for Jimmy

PHO is in the 2 apron they can not aggregate 2 player in a trade. Durant can't go GS because PHO can only take in 2 player that it. This goes for almost any other team. Here are some other player you could trade for Durant---} Butler, S.Curry, Nikola Jokic, Embiid, Lebron, Paul George and Towns. Those are the options so GS unless there trading Curry for Durant that can work and so, on...

Team in the 2 apron are PHO, MIN, BOS, MIL, NYK that means Towns is only a 1 for 1 trade doesn't work the same goes Jokic can't add anyother player, so Team like PHIL With Emniid or PG work with a min player or Butler +1 min player.

PHO is very limited on trading Durant unless it PHI MIA or NY

I’d do the original deal.
