Probably not. Still, that doesn't really justify your point.

If we want to judge Nico, we should use his own words in how he justified the deal to determine whether he was right or wrong. Stuff like saying how this sets him up for the future (with 32 year old AD and Kyrie as his leaders), how Luka got injured a lot (cough* AD and Kyrie), how he wanted to improve the culture (when he traded for toxic Kyrie), etc.

Other than that, if he wanted AD that bad, he could have had AD and more if he created a bidding war. At the very least, he needed to try. I think one thing bandied about was Jalen Williams, IHart and a bunch of picks from OKC. Who knows? Should have given it a shot.

A lot of NBA execs are not happy either, if media reports are to be believed.

Certainly not for FAT Luka. If he gets in shape, maybe not even then. JB has a "Brady" feel about him.

Luka has more talent but JB has talent and mindset. It's tough to find that combination these days. A lot of these superstars are all about themselves but JB truly wants to win and wants to do it not just for himself but for his teammates as well. We are blessed.

Luka might be the one guy I let Brunson go for, Luka was in the finals last year and that team was nowhere as talented as this Knick team
