I thought PG left because millionaires love cheesesteaks and cities where cheesesteaks are popular.

I thought it was common knowledge why LJ and Zo left Charlotte and it had nothing at all to do with the city.

Rich summed it up perfectly.

Quit playing games go get Zion.

Time to stop being irrelevant. Swing for the fences if he can't stay healthy at least we tried. He's not a long-term issue as we can get off his contract easily.

Best case scenario we go into next season with Zion and Flagg.

Bridges/Grant/Martin/Dallas 1st/Miami 1st for Zion

Go into next season with Zion and a high lottery pick. Add that to our core 3 and we should be on our way to the playoffs next season.

The most attractive cities for players are based in Texas and Florida. No state income tax. After that are probably LA or SF with the weather. I guess after that you have storied franchises. Think LeBron in Cleveland (hometown), and Boston with its history. I’d say Charlotte is probably somewhere in the front middle of places to live for athletes but we just historically haven’t drafted well. I mean OKC is probably one of the least desirable places for players. Same with KC in football but they made it work. Milwaukee and Green Bay had their days too.

You don't travel enough if you don't understand Myrtle Beach is the best the Carolinas have to offer

Didn't know y'all were so defensive for your great city Charlotte.

I mean it's a fun little city, but not much going on outside of watching the Hornets and Panthers.

This is the exact trade I want.

I would keep Martin and Okogie.

At some point we need talent on the roster.

That trade means you currently have a guard rotation of KJ Simpson, Lonzo, DSJ, Seth, and Wong? What happens on a Lonzo rest day (other than pain)?

Just flat out embarrassing for a team to really only have one big contract in Melo but have zero depth.

Micic just brings us pain anyway. Josh Green doesn't bring us anything we don't already have duplicated multiple times on the team, and is owed more money than he's likely worth. This is about as "nothing" an offer as it gets.

Just cycle through some hungry D-Leaguers down the stretch of the season and we're likely to find someone better than Wong, Jeffries, and Simpson anyway.

sure but no serious team runs around giving big minutes to KJ, Wong, and Jeffries.

The Bulls just cut two guys in Craig and Duarte who, while aren't very good, would get 25+ minutes here.

I don't care what "strategy" you think is correct, stocking the roster with dudes who don't belong in the NBA is bad for everyone involved

Micic is shooting 34.8% as our backup PG and playing completely brain dead, I'm curious what he is other than a "dude who don't belong in the NBA"

I agree with you on building an actual team around here, we play way too many nobodies. But we should be trimming the fat on the team. Green is a nobody making $13M till 2027. Micic is an active liability. We accidentally got a better version of him as salary filler in the Richards trade.

We will not miss any of these guys if they were punted tomorrow and replaced with a D-League guy hungry for an opportunity to prove himself. Micic, Jeffries, Wong, one of Green/Martin, Gibson, Seth. Green and Martin are better than D-League guys but their skills are duplicated a few times over on the roster. We've established these guys suck, move them for tryouts on players that have the potential to not suck.

Lonzo might be a nobody too, but he expires after the season.

Lonzo will be a FA no need to waste assets for him.

Go get Zion. Put some excitement back in the fanbase. Stars are being moved for cheap now is the time.

It will be really hard for the NBA not to put Flagg on a team that has LaMelo/Zion/Miller/Mark. That's another potential powerhouse team in the East.

I'm starting to come round to the idea of trading for Zion, hell even if we get him in shape this year and he plays 10-15 games we should still be ok for the draft to pick high for the Flagg stakes.
I just want a bit of entertainment and be relevant again and to get the NBA to sit up and take notice of the Hornets. Also if we throw a few 2nd rd picks at Chicago we should get Lonzo to pair with Lamelo now that's tv ratings right there.
Lamelo/Lonzo/Miller/Zion/Williams, that's bums on seats right there. We have players and draft capital to make it happen but will we have the bottle to do it.
