They traded grimes cause they have Christie on a long term deal and there wouldn’t be mins for both of them. We should’ve traded back for grimes tho.

Dallas is simply going all in on the idea of getting veterans who should be able to handle the pressure of a playoff series.

Of course this was with Spo, but Caleb played very well in the post-season for Miami in 22 & 23 across 28 games.

Not saying I agree with it but look at that roster construction. I don’t think they wanted to count on Grimes wetting the bed in a big spot coughing up a TO from a trap, throwing it out of bounds because of some ball pressure or air balling corner 3s when it matters most.
