Great call, I got in right after this and now it's already at $2.34 AH

Hopefully you are still holding - it just passed $3.00 per share.

3.23 and climbing. I'm definitely holding long term

Well if I knew it was going to quadruple in two weeks I would have bought more. :)

All the AI commercials that will run during the Super Bowl have been rendered hilarious.

Nothing political. What y’all doing today?

I’ve been holding cash for a while, but hadn’t sold out of old positions. Thinking of dumping a lot of it today. Could see 1-2% down daily for the next few weeks.

Yeah I never try to time the market but I do pick and choose certain times to take cash reserves and buy and I'm sure there will be a dip to buy in the next few days/weeks.

No way, I buy not sell.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The problem with selling is you can't catch a falling knife. You sell now and then when do you buy back in? It gets trickier if you need the money soon. But if it's money you need soon it shouldn't be in the market anyway. So personally I ride out the storm and I always have some cash available to buy dips. A little today and then we'll see what happens.

100% now is the time to buy if you can. Especially in the crypto markets, big institutions like BlackRock and even the President himself are still buying millions worth of crypto like Ethereum at the lows. Feels a bit like manipulation in the markets as well, so I wouldn't panic sell, the big players are just looking for better entries.

The S&P is up over 1% since it's session low this morning. Certainly there will be plenty of ups and downs but panic selling isn't a good idea.

Going to be a wild ride. One does wonder if there is any market manipulation with the tariffs and sudden reversal?

Glad I came here for the gut check rather than selling any.

Dump and pump for sure. The Mexico and Canada tariffs don't make any sense. Assuming we will probably be doing this again one month from now.

I follow the market daily but never sell based on one day no matter what the news is and almost all my financial decisions are on a 10+ year horizon. Most in index funds, and just let it ride. Any stock picks for me are buy and holds at 10+ year horizon or a massive price target, not pump and dumps. Definitely keep some dry powder in HYSA but equities are how you build it.

I wasn't really expecting the tariffs to have any sort of long-term impact given they would either fizzle right away or it would be a short back-and-forth. In my old age, I'm realizing that a lot of the speculation/uncertainty rarely ever comes to pass. Just stay the course.

I dabble in some individual stocks for fun and I also follow the market closely. I have 4 monitors on my desk, 1 always has market tickers on it, 2 are for work and 1 is for this site and other stuff. But like most of you I stay the course for the most part. I do some rebalancing but timing the market is gambling and I do that outside the market.
