Caleb makes 8 mil. Grimes makes 4 mil. there must be another player in the deal for cap purposes, no?

Dallas really loading up a potential defensive juggernaut around Kyrie.

I liked Martin, but I also think Grimes could be a solid utility cog wing with Maxey. One of the best corner three shooters in the game over the past couple of seasons and a defensive pest along the perimeter albeit not on the level of Caleb.

Not really a needle mover at the end of the day, does he even get retained in FA? Would have been nice if he had a bit more term left at the end of his deal, but oh well.

I'm not mad about this. Martin was no longer needed with the season dying the way it did. Both Council and Edwards have emerged as viable options, so why not take a leap of faith with them? I don't know much about Grimes other than I've never seen him make a three pointer but apparently he's a good shooter. Doubt he's a long term option for us so it's whatever. Trade PG and we'll be all good.

Interesting first domino to fall. Very curious to see what comes next since it could either signal the beginning of a reset or just a marginal move to enable more cap flexibility this summer.

I’ve always liked Grimes a lot as a player so I’d be happy to keep him long-term.

Dig this trade. If we keep Grimes, he's a good long term fit next to Maxey and McCain. If we dont keep him, it opens up room to retain Yabusele. Solid move, Daryl!

I like the Grimes move, now do PG.

Tankathon has us taking Miles Byrd in the second round. Trade was an A+ with that hypothetical alone.

I imagine we're going to keep the pieces that are actually working for us right now with the one exception being Yabusele. I can see him being moved for the right draft pick. I'd like for us to rid ourselves of Paul George if possible. He's just not a Philly guy and if Golden State was interested in Butler, then they've got to have interest in George...A player they wanted last summer. I'm not going to say PG has played bad for us, he's just not played and when he has he's done the bare minimum. Bare minimum for him mind you, is still very good, just not what we need. Phoenix is imploding, I don't know man...PG for Durant doesn't sound all that crazy. Neither does PG for Butler. I still say Golden State works the best because we could potentially get Wiggins or Kuminga in return and I think you take that for George at this point.

Morey will draft an all start shooting guard in the 2nd round. Or sign Shake Milton.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

So I believe this swap also pulls us under the first apron.

Would give us access to the buyout market.

Lonzo? Brogden? Bruce Brown? Simmons?

Please forgive me as a visitor for suggesting this, but is it possible, if compensated, that you guys would take Beal back for George with some picks because his contract is a year shorter?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Beal wouldn't approve a trade to the Sixers I don't think.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
