Like seriously 5 2nd round picks for Jae Crowder gtfo out of here, get this man out of professional sports

you're only mad at horst in hindsight lol

this was your reaction to the trade right as it went down:

this was your reaction to crowder's play about a month later
JayMKE wrote:Impressed with Crowder, has more in the tank than PJ did on our run imo.

He played well the month after being traded then proceeded to epically suck ass in the playoffs. Mirotic also was decent in a few appearances before sucking ass and bailing on the league. Don’t play that gotcha no life **** with me dude.

so horst should have anticipated that, but you couldn't at the time either?

lemme quick search for your thoughts on the mirotic trade, should only take a few minutes :)

KD makes so much more sense for other teams that could offer better packages. If we had more draft capital...

I don't understand why people keep saying X firsts as f they are created equally. if it's OKCs own, then hell no. they will be picks 25-30 that are borderline 2nds. so no I wouldn't trade Giannis basically straight up for Chet

you're right though, it would be really nice to have a GM who knows what will happen in the future, I can't believe the owners haven't thought of that already!

Just remember that the Mavs were in 8th place last year at the trade deadline before they traded for Gafford and Washington, got hot, and made a run to the finals.

It doesn't have to be a splashy name to make a big impact and undervalued players on bad teams can look a lot better when they are on a team with something to play for.

Nobody wanted our players last February
Nobody wanted our players last Summer
Nobody wants our players now
and Nobody will want our players next Summer

They only people that other teams will trade for are Giannis and Dame and we will end up trading Dame after we crash in the playoffs. We probably should trade Dame now if we got a nice return back but understandably we want to have him play once healthy in the playoffs alongside Giannis.

Horst has completely cornered himself he does not even have assets to get rid of Pat to get under second apron (why did he give him and Brook these contracts?)

LUKE23 wrote:We have had this discussion many times, but the reason we are in this mess (looking too old and slow and not having enough depth) is how bad Horst did with the few picks he did have. That, and the DDV/Ibaka trade absolutely tanked this teams window and now there really isn't a way out but to absolutely go for it with an aging roster and short window.

I go one-step further and think it's giving up all our assets for Jrue. For that package, we should've gotten either a younger or a better #2. Yeah I guess horst could've hit on some late firsts but he really didn't have many darts to begin with because of the Jrue trade and contract.

lol Jon “Heist” your buddy is going to be back at FedEx sooner than later. “YOU COULDNT DO BETTER” is some next level water carrying. Dork ass.

Stanley Johnson, Thon Maker, Jason Smith were essentially nothing and he still proceeded to suck ass.

A KD deal can be done, maybe even for less than you think. After Luka-AD, anything is possible, all GM's have their own way of thinking, maybe the owner forces their hands to you never know.

Now battling over the Crowder and Mirotic moves. This trade deadline needs to come and go, whether we make any moves or not.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Im already so tired of this mindset....

Luka trade was a peak aberration. So even setting that aside and pretending that it changed something:

After seeing how that gm got roasted, do you think its more likely or less likely that another gm does something like that?

horsts deals have been generally applauded here. but massive bitching after the fact that some of them didnt work out and calling posters dork ass'es for defending moves you initially supported yourself is some world class immaturity

kudos for "dork ass" tho. thats a new one. never heard the bullies use that one growing up

I actually did a lot of work today and within a page I see that we are trading midds for either KD or Kuzma.

BroncoBuck wrote:The Kuzma news is just further evidence that Khris isn’t an asset around the league. This is reminiscent of Jabari when we let him walk to Chicago and people freaked out we didn’t get anything for him.

All time great Buck, unfortunate this is the road we’re heading down with him, but at the end of the day it’s a business.

Or, it's further evidence that these rumors are all BS.

After all the inside guys rumors the last month, the two big moves were surprises. The only "inside" info was that Fox was on the block and that was a few days before.
