Would be fired.

I don't want him fired now, I want him to continue this mad expirement, I want him to have one PO game with the championship winning defense, I want to see him sitting courtside against Luka.
He already make the damge, Mavs are out of draft picks, the future is destroyed, I want him to be in charge of the present he created.

Believe me, a coward and snitch like Nico will resign/shrink/run away and not own anything he had caused.

Cuban breaks silence and isntrying to distance himself from the decision, it's a PR crisis, I'm starting to think they had no idea this will be the reaction

They don't seem sad at all. No more lack of accountability. Ignoring your teammates. Showing up your teammates. No defense. Out of shape. Constantly arguing with refs and not getting back. Let's not pretend like Luka was so fun to play with. I think when Kyrie got here he relaxed a lot and was a lot more easy going but he wasn't always the best teammate. Just because you get teammates open shots doesnt mean you can berate them and show them up with your body language. Before anyone accuses me of taking shots at Luka when he's gone - ive been saying the whole time he was here.

Everything alright with you? Kinda big conclusions after just watching 30 seconds of warmup.   Maybe his teammates demanded the trade?

Yes, I'm fine. I'm just pushing back on this narrative that Luka was not at fault in this as well. If Luka came back in great shape and leading this team - the ownership could not have justified trading him. Keep in mind, last year, before we upgraded centers and add PJ - there is now way that team goes to the finals...we thought we might even miss the play-in. The previous year we missed the playoffs when Kyrie got here and Luka was injured again. After making the finals, he pulls this same stuff. I'm just calling him out. He needs to take his health and leadership seriously. Hopefully he does that. But let's not act like Luka's unprofessionalism didnt help him get traded. It definitely made it easier for mgmt. I do not believe Luka is traded this year if he shows up in shape and avoids injuries.

Irrelevant. You don't trade him. Period. Unless he were Bi-Polar or had a drug addiction or something crazy. Luka is a basketball junkie. Plays for his country. Doesn't have a lot of time off from the sport. Basketball is his vice. He's a good kid. Has flaws. You ride it out and work with him. That's your job.

Some of you think your superstar has to be a choir boy. I don't. Plenty of superstars in sports are not natural leaders. Many grow into it but it takes years for some, and some never do. Some have other issues including maturity issues, and I'm sure plenty have issues we never learn about.

As I've mentioned, I went thru something like this with Big Ben as a Steelers fan. First part of his career he was immature, not a leader. Cracked his head open in a motorcycle accident. Received many of the same criticisms I see of Luka including fat and doesn't take care of his body like Tom Brady. Ben matured, became a good teammate and a leader over time. Never took care of his body like Tom Brady though. I enjoyed the high level of play and the 2 rings along the way.

I've heard stories of NBA champions where guys couldn't stand each other. Chemistry is great but you can win championships without it.

WCF 2 seasons ago, NBA finals last season. Lost to a team primed and ready, ZERO shame in losing to the Celtics last season.

5 straight 1st team all nba

A long list of post season LEGENDARY games and LEGENDARY big moments WHICH IS ALL I CARE ABOUT

I do not care about the regular season. Neither did Shaq Diesel. Worked out pretty well for him.

Luka getting time to rest from injury would have been a benefit down the road this season

"I need a recovery beer" is legendary stuff. Luka is a fun kid and a throwback which is kind of cool.

However they traded Luka before a 7days away trip... They hope tensions will go down with time.

I hope they are dead wrong and that time does nothing but make the fans' anger accumulate.

This reminds me of when the Wolves traded KG for the Al Jefferson poo poo platter. KG of course went on to have 6 great years out East, won a chip, and THEN to add insult to injury, was included in a trade for a heist of picks used to grab Tatum and Brown and win another chip. Ugh! Also, KG wanted to retire a Wolf. The trade was entirely the idea of Kevin McFail to recoup lost draft picks & help his buddy Ainge. Unforgivable. The once hometown hero completely DESTROYED his legacy w Minnesotans.

"Defense wins championships" is true, but you also need exceptional offense. None of the players on the team is an elite playmaker—NONE. If you're moving AD to the power forward position, it will force PJ to play small forward, where he struggles (watch his games in Charlotte). Klay doesn’t thrive without Luka's gravity and passing. The team lacks spacing. Currently, you only have Kai, and he can't do it alone.

That sneaky GM said they only have 2-3 years window. The clock is ticking, folks. Dallas has already given up their draft capital, except for LA's first-round pick 5 years from now!!! The fanbase will have years of what? Rebuild? Again? Not to mention the players in the league are now on the lookout after what sneaky GM did. The whole fanbase doesn't deserve it after Dirk left.
Maybe it's better not to be the best. Then you can lose and it's OK. - Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993)

Even still, Lakers could think of trading AD as they have two budding 7 feet centers. The way they trashed the clipper team today shows they did not miss the often injured AD much.

Yes, Lakers are 5:1 without AD, not having anything on C. Nico believes making stronger already the best defensive position wins you championship.

To be honest JJ Redick is doing fantastic job in LA, unlike our Kidd.

Kyrie Irving: 'It's still a grieving process right now. I miss my hermano'

“Just really shocked,” Irving said after scoring 34 points in 42 minutes in a 118-116 loss to the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. “You just don’t imagine you’re going to get ready to go to sleep and then you find out news like that. “It’s still a grieving process right now. I miss my hermano.” – via ESPN

Lonnie Walker IV fires back at Luka Doncic conditioning concerns

“You can say what you want about Luka being out of shape or whatever, but I vividly remember him giving people 70 last year and making it to the Finals,” Walker said in an interview with BasketNews. “So whatever negativity you want to say… man, a 24-year-old, 25-year-old made it to the damn Finals. He won EuroLeague MVP at 17. There’s no negativity in my point. That kid is great. He’s a future Hall of Famer, he’s going to be one of the greatest players of all time, and hey, man—make the apology just as loud as the disrespect at this point,” Walker emphasized.

Here's where I'm at...

I am no longer a Dallas Mavericks fan. I live here in DFW, was a fan of the team since the beginning of the franchise.

I am now solely a Luka fan. I will pull for Luka and any team he plays for. Go Luka!!! Go Lakers!!!

Anytime I see a basketball game with the Mavericks playing, I will pull hard for the other team.

I want to see the Dallas Mavericks burned to the ground

Fire the idiot corporate narcissist scumbag Nico Harrison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Mavericks BLT were in the Finals last year and had a window of probably a decade. The Mavericks ALT is still to be determined but the window to win has definitely gotten shorter. That being said even if Dallas can win it all in the next few years it still doesn't mean they won this trade. I think the best case scenario is this trade becomes less bad if they win it all once or more. More likely this will motivate Luka even more and the Lakers win multiple championships in the next decade with Luka while the Mavericks win nothing, in which case this will be one of the worst trades of all time.

You know that i defended Irving from day 1 despise his bizzarre statements in the past but i would have expected something else about Luka trade.

It disappointed me, he always had the courage to say what he thought despite everything.

Next summer you can walk away too. Thanks.
