were all of the understanding griffin was giannis pick man. horst wanted atkinson lol

were literally in the pickle were in more to do with giannis talking out of both sides of his mouth about loyalty/winning than horst gm'ing and thats a fact

if giannis had just signed his extension then for all we know wed still have jrue and the picks that went out with him and atkinson at the helm. i shudder at what that summer has done to us

Griffin still had to make the final grouping. Giannis picked amongst the candidates presented to him.

atkinson/nurse/griffin

id say its reasonable to assume that if griffin was giannis guy then thats why he made the final grouping

either way...that summer giannis called the shots and other than getting his name on the extension its been a debacle ever since. for all time thats the way im going to remember it anyway

I’m pretty sure we have reporting that Giannis wasn’t brought into it until it got down to those 3, so no I don’t think Griffin was Giannis’s guy from the start.

Kuzma this year:
- Wizards have a -21.0 net rating with Kuzma on the floor
- Literally the worst net rating on the Wizards roster among guys who've played 20+ games and 10+mpg for them
- 42% FG/28% 3PT/60% FT shooting splits
- 48.8% TS
- 10.7 PER, -5.6 BPM, -0.069 WS/48

I honestly might tap out if we trade Khris and draft capital for him. Like if we're not the ones getting other stuff for taking him on I might be out.

Maybe Khris demanded a trade.

Mentally preparing to be done for the year if that’s what we get back for Khris, whilst also sending out draft capital. I’ll be done. Already at peace with it.

Are the Wizards giving us Bub or Kyshawn in addition to Kuzma? Otherwise, what's the point of doing this? And we'd be adding assets on top? Horst is taking revenge out on us.

Please tell me you are joking.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/MIL/draft.html

We have ZERO rotation players on this roster currently that were taken first round over EIGHT drafts. Even with the trades we made, that is amazingly terrible.

Let's take a quick look at every 1st-round pick under Horst:

0) DJ Wilson -- 17th pick 2017

Terrible pick, but Horst only got the job 4 days earlier, so either it wasn't really his pick to make, or he was rushed, so he gets at least a partial pass.

1) Donte DiVincenzo -- 17th Pick 2018

Good pick, would have been great if he didn't get injured.

2) MarJon Beauchamp -- 24th pick 2021

Total bust.

3) AJ Johnson -- 23rd pick 2024

Nobody knows yet.

Truly very sad. I don’t understand why we are doing this. What do we gain? We lose Khris Middleton for such a non entity type player. Is awful to contemplate.

Goes to show you that Khris's trade value is in the toilet.

if we send out any real asset for kuzma, I will need a new account

if it's just khris and pat I can convince myself that the medical situation is BAD bad, and that the 2nd apron is hell, but I still won't be happy

I would have thought Kuzma last year was empty stats dumb guy too, it’s mind boggling to want to give up assets when he’s tanked to one of the most net negative players in the league this year. Now he’s not even fool’s gold, he’s pure ****. Idgaf what he did a half decade ago in LA.

Khris is a way better player even now, idc if he can’t play back to backs

Is there any way the Bucks come out as winners in a Middleton for Kuzma trade???

With where else we have been linked over the course of deadline season I tend to agree. But doing nothing also costs us nothing. Kuz wasn't on my NO WAY list because I didn't for even a split second believe this might be our reality.

If we give up draft capital on top of it, I'll be done so **** fast. My last copium I think is that the rumor is missing some details and it's actually Midds and Kuz in the same multi-team deal, but not as a direct swap.

We are in such a tough spot with Khris. Still a good player but doesn't play enough and you can't trust his body like at all. Dumping him is both a totally reasonable idea and also a totally awful idea. ,

I wish Lowe was still podcasting weekly to dispel the notion of current Khris on this contract being an asset. More people would be willing to accept it coming out of his mouth.

This roster is so messed up...old...failed picks...and broken war horses.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
