Probably will end up as the worst trade of all time.

Send him to LA for Luka
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I wish KD didn’t want to come to the Suns to begin with. Why couldn’t this ****ch just toughen it out with the Nets in the first place? Fcking idiot, he had a higher chance of going deeper in the playoffs with them (even after the Kyrie trade) than he does with the Suns in the West.

But no the fcking diva demands a trade and demands his destination and then of course gets what he wants. The very thing that is wrong with the NBA now is players like KD. Westbrook was right about him, guy’s a cupcake.

Much respect to KD, what a player and he rewrote the book on what an Achilles tear means for a basketball player. He's only been traded for about 15 picks since coming back.

As much as we hate on the current direction of this team. I don't lose sight of the fact watching KD play is still a privilege. True hooper, easy money sniper, one of the best to ever do it

"People talk crazy about me all the time," said Durant. "That's not the reason why I didn't come back. I just didn't want to get traded midway through the season. It was nothing against my time with the Warriors, or I heard it was because I don't like Draymond. At the end of the day, I just didn't want to move. And I wanted to see it through with my team in Phoenix. And see what we can do through the rest of the season, so I'm glad I'm still there."

Durant was asked how the rest of the season with the Suns will shape his outlook for his future.

"You have to ask the front office about that. I never planned on leaving or getting traded. I didn't ask for a trade from Phoenix. But, obviously, when you pay so much for a team and we're not playing up to our expectation, someone has to go.

Probably should check in with those guys in the front office throughout the rest of the season to see how they're feeling. I know I'm going to try to keep bringing my best every single day. I'll let the higher-ups focus on what's next."

I think it says a lot when even the players are not just connecting the team lack of success and the cost of the team but also putting it out there in the public. And it's coming from KD as well which isn't some benchwarmer.

Terrible of KD to come out and confirm it publicly.

Means Teams can low ball Suns in the off season knowing KD and Suns relationship isn't strong.

There's nothing terrible in his comments and doesn't change anything about his value around the league.

Yeah I don't see it as any real change in value because of this comment. Most teams by Xmas probably knew we were underachieving and we wouldn't be able to rule out big offseason changes. The fact that we're still at around .500 post ASW just increased the likelihood KD is moved (along with him almost getting moved before the trade deadline.)

But just because we will likely seek a trade doesn't mean we have to make a trade nor be forced to take whatever deal is on the table. KD knows the business and he's telling it like it is. The only surprise is that players don't generally mention these sorts of front office financials.

The word was that Ishiba asked KD if he didnt mind Golden State.... that action there signifies that Suns were entertaining it... hence the relationship wasn't or isn't as strong as you'd assume. Should have kept it all under wraps... including KD.

It was never gonna get under wraps though. The second a call to us go beyond "yeah KD isn't available", it's going to leak that we may be open to moving one of the premier scoring talents in the league. Once Miami and GSW were involved enough to start talking frameworks of a deal, you could bet half the league is now aware KD might be available.

That's why the Luka trade was so surprising, no one knew about it
