Agree this wasn’t a night to vote for Tatum. He’s been shooting well recently, and thought he played a good and engaged game tonight, and mostly got good shots. He wasn’t the only guy cold tonight — KP for us, and Mobley for them.

Like I said in the last game thread, give me Tatum and White on my team any day. Both exceptionally well-rounded and can play off one another very well. Tatum is obviously far higher in skill level but both find ways to be effective despite not being an athletic freak like JB. Timing, bball iq, processing the game quickly.

True. But the Celtics weren't firing on all cylinders tonight. White, Horford and Kornet maybe. That's it. Defensively they were much more locked in, although Cleveland contributed with a lot of bricks. The offense ran smoother, that might be an equally impressive accomplishment.

Looking at the Box-Score, we definitely did not Fire on all cylinders. Makes it even better that we still won though.

White and Al - excellent all night, PP was good too. Hauser had his moments early. KP, and JT were inefficient but important. Kornet solid AF.

Kenny Atkinson gets a puff for challenging that foul on JB in the 3rd. He had 5 of the Cs 12 turnovers on DIY kit moves after starting great in the game. Joe can't take full credit for sitting JB late in the game since he had foul trouble. Good job sitting Jrue who was so BLAH since tipoff.

Wish our bench gained more respect among fans. They play within their role, make quick decisions, and are often in the right spots on both ends. When a couple of starters are mixed in, our offense makes more sense.

JT alone with bench players --> 123.4 offensive rating and +9.9 net rating. It's been reliable in keeping/extending leads.

BTW, Cavs bench crew are one of the best in the league (3rd in net rating behind OKC and BOS). Cs second units just annihilated them. Too bad they ran into Kornet and Horford double big linueps.

He had gone to the bench with 5 fouls, and we were pretty much in control the rest of the way, except for the bad 4 point play.
