Where’d this come from, haven’t caught it yet beyond the board?

They desperately need someone to create their own shot besides Steph. So it makes sense. Portis has a salary slot that’s easier for them to trade first then the typical amounts guys who create their own points go for. Say what you want about Portis, but he can get you points if you need.

If the Bucks trade Bobby without replacing him with another big, consider that a white-flag trade.

Realistically need 2 bigs if Bobby is on the way out. Giannis + small guys doesn't work at all.

I could see Atlanta liking Bobby on the merits as well as Khris as a Toni Kukoc + a sneaky way to cut longer term salary commitments.

What draft assets we’d have to deal in addition though is a huge variable.

NBA executives across the league are monitoring how the loss of Hawks rising star Jalen Johnson for the season could affect Atlanta’s decision-making ahead of the trade deadline.

There’s a growing sense that Hawks swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic could be traded ahead of the deadline, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, and other teams have expressed interest in trading for Bogdanovic, league sources told HoopsHype.

Bogdanovic, who was listed as “not with the team” on the injury report, is 32 and doesn’t align with Atlanta’s young core.

Despite missing nearly half of Atlanta’s games this season and struggling at times with his rhythm, some around the league believe the career 38-percent three-point shooter could be rejuvenated during the second half of the season. Bogdanovic’s contract is considered moveable. It includes $17.26 million this season, $16 million guaranteed for the 2025-26 season, and has a team option at $16 million for the 2026-27 season.

In addition to Bogdanovic, another veteran for the Hawks has drawn interest on the trade market.

Hawks center Clint Capela has drawn trade interest from multiple teams, league sources told HoopsHype. One caveat, however, is that teams reaching out on Capela are currently proposing offers with player(s) under contract beyond this season.

Furthermore, Sixth Man of the Year award candidate De’Andre Hunter has also drawn interest amid the best season of his career, league sources told HoopsHype.

Hunter discussed his career season coming off the bench, his award candidacy, how coach Quin Snyder has unlocked his potential, Atlanta’s young core going forward, Trae Young’s growth, and more in a recent HoopsHype interview.

Bogdan’s been looking a little too cooked lately and he’s 32. Not really interested. If he came with DeAndre Hunter though? Hmmm…

Every deal has risk. Only the Lakers are given sure fire acquisitions

Gotta be smart about it though and I don't think this is the player worth taking one on.

Yeah it’s probably only possible if Atlanta wants to get off that longer term money and is having trouble finding other ways to do it.

The only meetings I have the rest of the week are 12:30 tomorrow and 2:00 Thursday. You can bet something will go down then.

I wonder how Butler felt reading the Suns injury report.

Bobby to either Atlanta or GSW should be for draft compensation and expirings. That's what we need to do something bigger.

Why is Phoenix trading for Butler if they are trading KD away? Doesn't make any sense....

Why would Suns want Butler without KD? We know who is better.
