I feel like Jimmy and draymond on the same team would be some kind of universe ripping cataclysm. Not gunna lie, it would be fun to watch Book, Jimmy and Dray all chirping at other players although I really dislike draymond.

If we ended up with Dray and Jimmy, we absolutely must keep Nurkic then.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Butler solves the problem by replacing him with KD. Suns get even smaller.

KD is worth hella more than just Jimmy butler. If this is real, this is a beyond moronic trade!!!!

They better get Kuminga & picks. If it's just KD for Butler, that's a step back.

I can't wait for JJ to lose another trade. Has he ever won one besides grandPaul?

He didn't even construct that trade. He merely signed off and brought it to Sarver. That was all on Paul and his people.

It’s so weird that KD has been so good yet it seems like he’s the center of everything that is miss-firing for the suns. I admittedly have watched maybe 10 games this year but I seriously cannot put my finger on why we are so bad besides the turnovers and the sloppy ball movement. Is this really all on KD?

Hope y'all are well.

I was pro trading for KD and I'm now for trading him away. Took a gamble and it didn't work, get the best under 30 piece and some depth and do a quick reset around Booker.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

The reality is that we're not very athletic nor big. One Ryan Dunn doesn't make up for a roster full of old KD's, average athleticism Book/Grayson/Royce, old Plumlee, small Tyus/Morris etc. There's is a clear difference in the way we play when we're running, when we have youth and athleticism out there etc. When you have methodical guys like KD and Book largely running the show, it's no surprise we don't leverage what youth and athleticism we have to the max.

As impressive as KD and Book are at what they do, this team isn't that dangerous because they’re essentially our sole strength. When other teams can match us offensively AND supplement that with long, scrappy defenders with young, athletic legs, we're always going to be playing catch-up because we just can't match the other team on defense nor on athleticism.

Yeah Kuminga and at least 1 first is needed if we're swapping Durant for Butler.

What an awful trade even with some picks coming back!

How does this address the size issue and then compounding it with having KD, Book and Beal all trying to share the floor at the same time? :banghead:

Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to get that to work. Suns would have to send someone else out. Probably not Royce, probably not Grayson. Could send out Nurkic, but then this trade gets a bit messy. It would then have to be a separate deal where Nurkic goes to Wizards, JV goes to the Warriors, and then Kuminga and Bey coming to the Suns.

That could work I suppose, trade one of the Suns late 1st for a better one from the Warriors.

Suns turn KD and Nurk into Jimmy Butler, Kuminga, Bey. Not exactly a haul or fleecing anyone here.

I was just telling the guys in the Heat forum, I could live with that trade. The bigger issue is how serious Ish wants Draymond as he's soaks up value. Us getting Butler/Kuminga/FRP for KD is ok. Us getting Butler/Dray is not....

If you are trading KD than no point going after 35yo Butler. Such a directionless team. Watch them not get 1/3 of what they gave up to acquire him. If it's Butler than it's just an negative contract they will need picks to get rid of.
