RB Damien Martinez from Miami is someone to keep an eye on.

Here is a Center to keep an eye on in the middle-late rounds. Apparently he’s pretty was dominating the Georgia DL today at the Senior Bowl practice. Beebe could easily move to Guard.

I have to say that I’m actually really encouraged by this addition to the coaching staff. This tells me the Cowboys will actually embrace the running game and play action. With the Jones’ still in charge it may be more of the same but at least they should be fun to watch.

The more you hear about the guy and the more you read about him and hearing from a couple of Cardinals fans in the family who are pretty bummed he’s leaving…
Sounds very promising.

Choice would be another really good addition to the coaching staff. He’s been doing a great job at Texas and Texas fans are not happy that he might be about to join the Cowboys staff.

Re: 2025 Dallas Cowboys Off-Season
If the Cowboys really are going to be players in free agency here are 3 that make sense. All could be signed at reasonable prices.

These headline moves are the only thing keeping the NBA relevant today. I'll be honest, I don't watch much of the NBA nowadays. The product sucks. I don't really miss having a team locally.
But if you're a Dallas fan, this must be a shock to the system.

I like NFL more than NBA, but I am a Mavs fan. I'm just trying to convince myself they know Luka will be 300lbs of lard in a couple years.

Cuban never would've let something like this happen. I'd be worried more about who's running it, honestly.
This signals that ownership either isn't committed financially or just a total lack of awareness on their part. But it likely has more to do with money. Which is never a good sign.

I could have sworn that one of the stipulations when Cuban sold the team was that he would still be involved...
The only thing that Mavs fans can come up with is that they know something about Luka that the rest of us don't. And most think it's his physical shape. Luka's body type is very prone to gaining weight. It might be that he just will not be able to stay fit much longer, and the front office can see he is making no efforts toward that.
That is the top theory

Which is understandable. But it still doesn't make a ton of sense to trade a 25-year-old global star.
AD is a great player. But he's also 32 & has injury issues himself.
Just doesn't look good on the surface, no matter how you try & spin it.
Which is why I keep coming back to financials. They obviously didn't want to commit more money to him.
Now, is that a front office view? Or is that ownership??

It looks horrible. Luka was the face of the franchise. And VERY young. These are sad sad sad times for Mavs fans.
I'm just trying to figure out a way to explain it. Maybe they could see Luka this season not conditioning, not caring about his shape. They could tell they would give record money to someone who is going to gain a ton of weight and then not be able to do the things they do. Maybe they thought this was their open door to off load.
And on the Laker's side. LeBron is done, they need their star power of the future. Easy risk for them even if they think Luka has weight issues.
I don't know, overall it sucks for us Mavs fans. Just hope somehow AD and Kyrie shock everyone.
AD is substantially better than Luka on defense. And he shoots at a higher %. He is a great player and maybe he will vibe better with Kyrie.

Word is when Luka had a wrist injury earlier in the season it wasn’t really an injury. They sent him home because he was overweight and out of shape. They sent him home to drop some weight. He came back heavier in the 270 lb range.
I expect Lukamis going to be on his best behavior and may even drop some weight the first year. He’s a heavy drinker and smoker though. By year 3 with the Lakers he could easily be pushing 300 lbs.

Cuban also wanted no part of Giannis in the draft even though all his scouts (and his GM) were saying he’s the next “one”! Instead Cuban wanted Shane Larkin because his dad played pro baseball.

The new ownership isn’t cheap. They’ve already forked over a ton of money to the other players. They’re trying to get a championship as soon as possible because they want a new arena. They messed up though by not realizing just how loved Luka is in Dallas.

Once Cuban soldiers a majority stake in the team he lost all say. Patrick Dumont said in an interview last year that Nico is GM and has control over all things team related. Dumont runs the organization. His mother in law Miriam Adelson is the actual owner. Cuban only has a minority steak in the team now. Enough to get him court side tickets but not much else.
