KD back to the Warriors

Post#1 » by Twinkie defense » Wed Feb 5, 2025 6:36 am

It looks like this is happening, how does everyone feel about it?

Draymond going out?

Is there an actual report on this? I don't see anything except some smoke, hard to say how I feel about it until it's concrete and it's known what is going out. I would definitely like KD back and if it's Draymond going out it's kind of a bonus, but what else? If it's like Dray, Kuminga, and 4 picks I'm not going to like it.

Nothing concrete. OP is just craving attention.

first of all, I don't believe it until I see it.
how to feel about it in case it happens? well, he should've never left in the first place, here he had the ideal situation to win than in any other place in the league (like it has proven to be indeed). from a basketball standpoint, that decision of his was the dumbest decision ever by a superstar.
but if he comes back, this time he needs to ignore all the noise and bullshite morons, again, will say ("he can only win with steph", "he's only a front driver") and just be locked in about stickin' up their arses by winning another chip.

I can't believe he'd consent to coming back to GSW. It would be an admission that he was mistaken to leave in the first place.

Plus, the Warriors don't necessarily have a better cast than the Suns do right now. Especially if they have to trade a ton to match salaries.

Also, teams like OKC and Houston can trade a lot more draft assets than the Warriors could, as well as have some young rotation players whom the Suns might prefer.

If the Luka trade set the market and the price for KD is Draymond+a pick+filler I can accept that. If it's a half decade of picks and swaps or Kuminga is involved than Dunleavy/Kerr/Lacob have succumbed to the pressure from the morons/Warriors fans.

I mean lets say GSW gets a sweetheart deal, like a top 10 protected FRP, Buddy, Draymond, Waters, Dennis for KD.

Even then I don't think the team is good enough to compete. You have to deal with the injury risk to both KD and Curry.

Personally I would rather see Kuminga traded because I don't think he is worth his extension price but I get ya...

If one of them has to be involved I'm hoping it is Wiggins not Draymond but Phoenix is hot on Draymond.

why everybody, as for any trade idea or potential move, sees it only as one-off, 6 months to 1 year time horizon?
start bringing in an effing star/superstar to pair with steph, then you can make additional moves in the offseason if needed to really compete next year. there is next year as well.
just start somewhere, doesn't have to be everything at once.

yes, because kuminga has shown to be such a winning player....
I would extend him rather than trade him, but only to create another salary slot big enough to bring in another player like zion in the offseason.
a steph-KD-zion trio, if healthy, would be unstoppable. there is no way someone can defend that trio on a basketball court, the inside-outside scoring would be too much for any D to handle.

The "second apron" cap era has changed things in unexpected ways.

according to this line of thinking, no one should've ever considered trading for AD....
sometimes you have to take some risk.
also, zion is one of the few players (supposedly) on the trade block whose contract would match a kuminga' extension. so...

Warriors are going to lose a 1st Round pick without anything in return.

I dont think kd alone will do much.

If we give up dray/jk or a wiggins+ multiple 1sts package, i think I'd rather go after zion for the now and future aspect.
