Nothing makes sense anymore. Suns are also a team that could cease to exist and very little in NBA history would be shifted
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Ofc.

I don't like Kuzma either very much, but that dude at least showed he can play within the context of a good team and fit into a role and play defense and hit big shots and he won a championship. And he has a MUCH better contract.

Lavine did none of those things and is one of the 5-6 worst contracts in the league. Easy choice between the two for me.

That being said, sending Khris AND a pick for Kuzma...awful IMO

Let’s fix the Dame trade.. Just laying out the bones, minimum players and SRPs need to be added..

Bucks in Jrue
Bucks out Brook, Pat, Marjon

Celtics in Kuzma
Celtics out Holiday

Wizards in Brook, Pat, Marjon
Wizards out Kuzma

Celtics (and Bucks) avoid the 2nd apron, Wizards get shorter deals.

Dame/Wright/Johnson
Jrue/Green/Rollins
Midds/Trent
Giannis/Prince/Livingston
Portis/Smith

We have ZERO rotation players on this roster currently that were taken first round over EIGHT drafts. Even with the trades we made, that is amazingly terrible.

he traded them all except marjon and ajjohnson. i really like the ajj pick tho.

and keeping #1s when your all in trying to win year after year the big one is horrifying. i dont want a cheap ownership worried about money and draft picks i want owners who go all in. suggesting we shouldnt have dealt those late #1s is a disgusting megagross philosophy for those picks should have been used in giannis years. they should all be traded as soon as eligible!!!

so grading anything on #1s is dumb. when youre a millionaire who cares whether you get to buy anything with food stamps. just a weird conversation when youre a favorite trying to win a championship every year.

marjon is the only guy that hasnt worked out in those 8 years. and guess what....theres wasnt anybody drafted after him to speak of anyway. big deal. such a misleading statement many make to single him out and talk about the draft when hes largely gave them all up for dame and jrue

Steve Bulpett:

“Kuzma would be better there than he was in Washington,” said one league source. “He’d be a lot more locked in if he’s on the floor with Giannis. It’s hard when you’re on a team that’s not going anywhere. You can get a little sideways.

“The funny thing is, Kuzma’s been playing better the last couple of weeks since his name’s been in trade rumors. He’s been playing like the guy you know he can be. I’m not saying that’s a good thing, but that’s what it seems like.”

Middleton, meanwhile, has been diminished defensively since his ankle surgeries.

“But the financial standpoint is probably the biggest thing,” said the source. “Kuzma gets them below the second apron and gives them a bunch more flexibility, especially this summer. They’d have the ability to go out and get somebody legit.”

Though Middleton’s salary is higher, his contract is a year shorter than Kuzma’s, with next season a player option.

Kuzma sucks so much, he sucked last year in Washington too when his stats were better too. I will actively root against this team if they make that trade, not like there is any chance of success in the postseason. Blow it up.

Our pick would go to Phoenix. The whole point of the Suns trading KD is because he's worth more than Butler. This still isn't enough for Phoenix to pull the trigger.

We'd have to deal Dame to get KD, and we should.

Why do people ignore that Horst hasn't hit on a single 2nd round pick either?

I wonder what those Bobby to GS rumors would entail. I doubt they’d be reinvigorating those wiggins for bobby talks with how good he’s been this year.

GSW was one of the teams interested in Pat last time he was a FA. I could see Bobby and Pat both going there.

Aaron Wiggins is the best contract in the NBA, and he's breaking out as a scorer. Can we get him? If OKC values our unprotected 2031 pick, this might be the smart way to cash that in.

Lol...

We cant just "sign someone legit" by clearing the aprons. We would need to shed 18M+ to get under the luxury tax and open up the full mle. Otherwise, the max we can spend is about 5m per year on one player.

The way our assets our talked about is as if we only have our 2031 1st and 2nd to trade.

But we do still have ~4 1sts in the coming years ('26, '27, '28, '30) we can trade too, no? Albeit picks that NOP/POR have swap rights too, but still at worst late 1sts.

Am I missing something about the CBA / second apron that prevents us from dealing those?

all his 2nd rounders are rostered in the league except for that kalaitzathskdfmlac greek guy we drafted to appease giannis agent and hope he resigned.

ajax.....one of his 2nd rounders is literally starting on this team as we speak. aj green is fine rotation player. merrill in cleveland who we traded for grayson was a nice target. nwora is still rostered. sandro is still rostered.

no idea what youre suggesting here. rarely do 2nd rounders even stick. are you suggesting hes a failure because he hasnt drafted a brogdon type? thats ludicrous if thats the standard

27 is gone and even number years are swapped. But you are required to have at least one first round pick in any given two year stretch as just a basic rule in the nba.

We can trade those picks on draft day, after we select a player for another team, just not before then

If we sent Dame out to get KD would we have enough assets left to get Reaves from the Lakers?

If we trade the one remaining pick we control for Kyle “Drew Gooden” Kuzma, just shut it down.

what if the cost of durant is taking on beal and nurkic too?

durant/beal/nurkic/tyus
for
dame/middleton/patc/lopez/delon

get a 3rd team involved for dame to reroute assets back along with our pick. theyd basically be using durant to clear the deck of everything

wed get under the apron or close....6,631,719 saved.

wed have

tyus/green
beal/gtj
durant/prince
giannis/ajax
nurkic/portis
