The only thing that's keeping my head above water on this deal is thinking about how Khris looked defending and every player he guarded would just blow past him. That defense wasn't sustainable. But man, this just feels like the wrong move. Kuzma is a perennial ****. And you just know somehow the basketball gods will see to it that AJ Johnson becomes an all-star in the future.

Looks like Khris' value was even worse that I thought. Hoping that's not the case for the rest of roster

Kuzma sucked and was low iq even when he was in LA a half decade ago

Thanks for everything Khris, we don't win that 2021 title without you. An all time Buck who will have his number in the rafters.

Good trade. AJ Johnson is useless, not sure why there's so much disappointment around his inclusion. Patrick Baldwin Jr. is a better prospect than he is (to put it into perspective of just how unlikely it is that AJ Johnson will ever play rotational minutes in the NBA)

Got under the 2nd apron. Get a guy who in theory will be able to stay on the floor. Defense is improved. Size is improved. Still have the 31' first. Could simply be a Bobby replacement if we can swing a trade for a starting SF now that we can aggregate.

There's definitely at least one more trade coming. Probably two. Everyone has been reporting for over a month the Bucks are the most aggressive team in the market. With as little wiggle room as we've had, let's see how it shakes out.

I kind of like the deal. Excited to see how Kuzma plays for us. Really does suck to lose AJ but there is no way we can rely on Mids this year. Anyone who feels differently isn’t watching the games. Too much risk there in Gianni’s’ prime

Would have rather gotten Grant than this. What exactly does Kuzma do better than Kris?

Prez wrote:Again, this is who we traded for:
- Wizards have a -21.0 net rating with Kuzma on the floor
- Literally the worst net rating on the Wizards roster among guys who've played 20+ games and 10+mpg for them
- 42% FG/28% 3PT/60% FT shooting splits
- 48.8% TS
- 10.7 PER, -5.6 BPM, -0.069 WS/48

And for that guy, we traded not only a dude whose jersey will be retired for the Bucks, a dude who was instrumental in us getting a title and been with Giannis for the entire build...but we also tossed in our 1st round pick who was the only prospect on the roster with a modicum of upside, AND a pick swap.

**** Jon Horst forever.

Hey when you have a chance to pick up arguably the worst player on the worst team in the league you have to just go for it.

Baldwin is in year 3 and hasn't been able to crack the rotation of the worst team in the goddam NBA. What makes him a better prospect than AJ Johnson? Baldwin is trash.

The 2nd round pick we got has decent value, no?

According to this article Washington has 17 tradeable 2nds

8. Washington Wizards

Future first-round picks: 8 (4 tradable)

Future second-round picks: 17

Young trade assets: Corey Kispert, Johnny Davis

Veteran players in trade rumors: Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma, Jonas Valanciunas, Malcolm Brogdon

The Washington Wizards will be NBA trade deadline sellers, so their eight future first-round picks and 17 future second-rounders likely aren't going anywhere. They can certainly add to that treasure trove of draft capital, though. Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma might not be megastars, but they are very good players who have heard their names in trade conversations this year.

Jonas Valanciunas and Malcolm Brogdon are two other veterans players who could net something in return, although their trade packages would be smaller

How is Patrick Baldwin a better prospect? He has shown nothing at multiple stops? He’s genuinely bad.

Kuzma won a championship with the Lakers in 2020.

I mean, what makes you guys think there's a follow-up trade coming? If the organization actually likes Kuzma this much to give up this kind of package, while getting under the 2nd apron without having to dump Pat, then this feels like they accomplished what they wanted to.
