Those Huk haters awfully quiet. Comparing him to Frank who got all the opportunities in the world for years, when this is a guy who plays 1-5 minutes a night, mostly garbage time, in a fraction of the games we’ve played this year. No comparison

With seeing the way the Knicks are willing to play extremely important but very injury prone players like OG excessive minutes, I doubt that they would be cautious to protect an unproven rookie like Huk if he has an injury History.

Knowing how Thibs gets down, he didn't play Huk simply because he didn't want to play Huk....Thibs is capricious with who gets on and off his buddy list. And external pressure from anyone who's not his boss makes Thibs double down not acquiescing.

Dolan making a special appearance to endorse Huk is pretty telling....So I think we'll be seeing Huk over Sims from now on.

Could be. If so, hope it’s for someone good.

i don't know if it's health management or buddy-listing. i think he just doesn't mind making young players wait. despite being a thibs pet project, deuce played a very limited role for essentially his entire rookie contract. but regardless of his limited nba floor time, when it was time to restructure our roster and acquire og, the knicks cast a vote of confidence in their development job by re-signing him to take on a bigger role. now he's one of our best 2 way rotation players

ONLY 3 more games until the all star break.

Hold out OG and Mitch for 3 more games and then play them on Feb 20
.

You get two more full weeks of rehab time that way. Mitch should be fully ramped up by then and in theory OG's foot should be fully healed by then.

Missed the pass to Bridges at 0:30 mark, love those quick instinct/ thinking on the feet passes, who's open and immediately makes those confident passes to them without committing a TO (bigs are often reluctant to make risky passes that could result in TO, he's a rookie big!)

He's gonna be at least a great primary backup C for his career, but hopefully a starting C one day

Yeah I noticed Q was in the corner while Barnes is their point of attack point forward initiating their offense

I watched Huk very closely this game... he played a great game and did a tremendous job on Barnes. Probably as good a job as anyone I've ever seen. Held him to 1 for 8 or so and made life really difficult for a player who can score in many different ways. Huk stayed in front, contested every shot without fouling, and didn't go for the fakes. The kid could be something if we keep giving him development minutes.

Has the aggressiveness on defense Jericho doesn't and not afraid to look at the basket and throw it down. He was a steal. Jericho will get traded or waived to make room for one of the G-League guys who have been balling.

hukamania looked damn good no lies
moves very spry even with that big frame of his, could stay with faster players on switch. Could be the knicks non-KAT center in the future

In hindsight, Leon deciding to bring in and give the keys to Brunson, instead of IQ, was probably the greatest decision in team history.
