If this doesn't go well, that "next steps" conversation with Giannis starts this summer.

Disgusting trade. Think I'm gonna check out for the rest of the year.

Unless there is some giant 2nd move coming.

Lowe is right. There is a version of Kuzma that would be a positive contributor if he knows his role and actually gives a ****. Being stuck on a loser franchise will cause a lot of bad habits.

Anyone else grateful they were in the building for Game 6 in 2021? Going to be another 50 years the way the FO handles things...

Rather watch 1 more year of Mids than 2 years of Kuzma.

I fear that this trade is that moment.

It was Grief's hiring. Flailing ever since.

Griff was a bad hire but his hiring coincided with the Dame trade and the Giannis extension. The extension, especially, kept our window open.

The beginning of the end was the season after the chip when they decided to run it back sans PJ. Maybe that was our Faustian bargain?

Was it worth it? I don't know. How I felt when they were up 7 and knew they would win it all was one of the best natural highs I've ever felt.

Feeling crappy about this team for the next few or ten years, well, wait and see I guess.

I’ve been coping hard for the past 24 hours about the Khris for Kuzma trade hypotheticals, and I’ve come to the point where if we believe Khris would just not be available for the playoffs, and Kuzma has some potential utility here, maybe we’re better equipped now.

We looked our best this year in the game against OKC, and that was one where Khris didn’t play. Kuzma should give us better on-ball defense, and be an upgrade over Prince, and should move better on both sides of the ball.

Now, we can’t say whether Khris would or wouldn’t have been available, but the naive part of me is thinking the bucks knew something about that likelihood and it wasn’t looking good.

The problem to me is that we’re buying dreadfully low on Kuzma and were still the team giving up more assets. That’s tough.

If Kuzma can help us play faster, attack a set defense while facing the hoop (anytime Khris came under duress this year, he showed his ass towards the basket, and things slowed down even more - in the past he’d methodically get to his spot, but that frequency and effectiveness seemed to be dwindling, and its importance may be lessened with Dame here), capably defend on an island on the perimeter, and create a little for others in a pinch, maybe this helps us look more the part in the regular season.

That’s my cope.

This has a chance to be a really good move if kuzma can get back to the lakers era defense he was playing.

It’s understandable why it would be hard to give any effort or care on that wizards squad. Question is, can he turn it back on? His contract is pretty decent.

Disclaimer that I'm not an AJ Johnson believer, but he was clearly an asset that other teams valued. Shame to use him here for what you hope is a marginal upgrade in Kuzma (only in function, not in form). Would've rather kept Khris and hoped for recovery instead of hoping that a guy fits in.

I don't care if this makes the bucks .1% better. They traded the better player, pick swap, and a young prospect for the worst player on the worst team in the NBA. Don't care if they saved money, they got ripped off. You don't get ripped off for the sake of getting ripped off when you're extremely limited with assets.

Lot of people on here gonna be pretty quiet when Kuz plays better than washed Midds, and we save money for roster flexibility.

He's bad, no doubt, but the Nico Harrison just made one of the worst trades of all time.

Think about the Bucks defensive efforts on most nights, not sure why you’d expect things to get better with low iq player & person like Kuzma

Our owners have spent far more than a small market could ever hope for. On this one issue I give them a pass.

Eh. Not giving them credit for spending when they have Giannis in his prime. It would be malpractice not to

Prince not starting is a win so there's that.

I’m coming around on the “if there’s a follow up that makes sense” and “Khris is completely washed physically”, this may not be the awful trade it appeared at first glance.
