The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade Daniel Theis and draft compensation to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pelicans will move below the luxury tax with the trade as he is on a $2.1 million expiring contract. New Orleans was $1.4 million above the luxury tax before the trade.
Theis is averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 16.3 minutes in 38 games this season with the Pelicans.
