Nothing may happen with KD, but ScoopB is not a reliable source. That guy throws a lot of stuff at the wall.

Agreed.

I decided to post this since Scoop was pretty specific about a phone call from a source. And just thought it was fodder for the discussion here.

I have absolutely zero understanding of why the Suns would be so desperate to get Jimmy, especially given his recent behavior and the contract he's looking for, that they would move Durant to make it happen 1.5 years after trading the world to get him..

Beal for Jimmy I get, even with the concerns about Jimmy being a giant douche, but a Beal/Booker/Jimmy/Nurkic team isn't going anywhere IMO.

I read this as Durant doesn't want to go there if Draymond is still there.

Looks like a Kevin Durant trade should be announced between now and tomorrow mourning. There's just too much smoke to suggest that Kevin Durant isn't getting traded.

makes sense to trade KD for Butler + some picks and then can use the picks to add pieces to build for the future (after Beal contract is up). probably makes sense to trade Booker for draft capital too. Beal + Butler so they can be a play in team until new players are ready.

Ishbia needs to pick a direction to go in. If he wants to win now he's not doing anything to accomplish that, and ditto if he wants to build for the future. Why on earth is he willing to sign Jimmy Butler to a max extension? It gives him another untradeable player while also not significantly improving the team. The offers he seems to be considering for KD also make no sense for either of those goals. Neither does standing pat.

clarify for me please.

just reading the tweet, does it say "since phx won't be able to land butler, they trade kd"

is this a "we want butler more than we want kd"

It obviously makes sense for the Warriors.

Suns I get it if they can get enough assets back with Butler.

The Phoenix team has been pretty bad and yet they are doing better right now under KD than GS is doing under Steph.

I get that people love Steph, I love him too but even tho it was weak for KD to join the Warriors, Steph has to take equal amount of blame for wanting him and it's not a guarantee GS beats the Cavs without KD.

TLDR, KD wouldn't be crawling back, they both need each other.

The Suns seem like such a mess of a franchise and run so poorly, but yet no one wants to leave there... it's weird.

Phoenix is under the gun. The only way they can acquire the goat Duncan Robinson is to give up KD.

Already heard from inside sources KD wants to end his career in Miami and have a chance to lure the king to south beach again

He knows he ain’t winning **** in phoenix and knows the fans will just blame Beal and not him
