KD to Houston, Memphis or Orlando would be best case IMO.

Does Ishbia want to top Nico for stupidest trade in NBA history? trading Durant for Butler? seriously? is Ishbia on crack?

Mavs traded Luka but they at least got Anthony Davis back. Butler is a great player but he is nowhere near as good as KD and AD.

It wasn't the Suns.

Gambo

KD did NOT request a trade. He loves it in Phoenix does not want to be traded.

Miami is not taking Beal. That is a 0 possibility. The only way for them to acquire Jimmy otherwise is Booker or Durant, no? Doesn't sound legit.

Good. I don't want KD to be traded. This is all media fueled by stuff coming out from organizations. If the Suns can't get Butler fine. It was always a long shot due to Beal's contract NTC and Miami does not seem to want him even if they include the 3 1st's.

It's not worth it to trade Durant to get Butler. No f**king way.

Warriors org probably put this stuff out there to turn Miami off so they can get Butler.

Unless we're getting an absolute treasure trove of picks, I don't see the point at all

If we are moving KD and getting Buter, we won't get many picks. We will probably get like 1. If we move KD for younger prospects, I think we could get a couple picks.

KD's value is at least cut in half from when we traded for him. Getting someone at 34 vs 36 (to be 37 next year) is a pretty big difference in value. He has probably 2 years left, maybe only 1 at playing near where he is now. Of course Butler is old too but they wanted picks, prospects, role players for him, so the value difference is probably 1 pick. I would at least 2 on talent, but there just shouldn't be too many picks traded for 36 and 37 year old players (or soon to be in Sept...soon in basketball game left this season).

We really haven't seen guys at that age get traded for much. Even when Harden was last traded over a year ago from Philly and had just turned 34 and got one pick. He may not have been seen as good as Butler, but he can more run an offense/game, in a way (but to a lesser extent) as Luka/LeBron.

The only other stars around that age still playing are like Curry who won't get traded. But I don't see KD fetching more than 2 firsts unless they are obvious late ones, and maybe from a team that had a lot of them. The Warriors wouldn't trade picks far out into the future. And if the Heat were expecting a young player and picks, who would get them from GS, us or the Heat? Or one each?

I think the best we may hope for in picks if we are getting Jimmy for KD is like a first and a second...but maybe just one first. Two firsts would be phenomenal but I'd be more shocked if we got 2 at this point than if we got none.

I'd rather get a young player or two from the Rockets and one pick. Even if it was just like Jabari Smith or Eason and Whitmore and one of our firsts, maybe just this year's since the Rockets know we are ok, they might be more likely. If we could get like our 29 first, I'd take just one player like Smith or Eason and filler, even if it's FVV or Brooks (but would prefer Green, which apparently couldn't happen until the summer). But FVV or Brooks don't really make sense on our roster as is.

Obviously if we were rebuilding, Book for our picks, and if not Thompson, then Eason, Smith, Green and all our firsts and their future first that has swap rights with Dallas would be great.

I think there is very little chance we trade Book though, for at least a year. Unless he wants it.

I won't be surprised if a year from now we have Butler and Beal and are retooling and the other stars are gone...which would be crazy. We would probably then want to trade Butler but he'd probably throw a hissy fit or something.

Then considering what you said about very likely not getting much if any picks for KD in a trade now, what's your thoughts on players centric based packages like the ones I suggest for a KD to Denver or a KD to Memphis trade? Obviously more of a " retool" scenario than actually a more logical full rebuild scenario.

1- KD to Denver for Porter jr./ Westbrook/ Saric/ Christian Braun/ Dayron Holmes/ Tyler Hunter.

2- KD to Memphis for Smart/ Clarke/ Kennard/ LaRavia/ Huff/ GG Jackson/ MEM 25' 1st/ MEM 27' 1st?

Or you do the GS trade get Green or Wiggins and then flip either of them to Memphis for a smaller package (not having to gut their roster) for something like Smart/ LaRavia or Aldama/ GG JACKSON (the prize) and MEM 25' 1st or multiple 2nds? Smart would be the centerpiece. Maybe even flip him and one of our CLE 1sts to Chicago for Ball and the Sacramento 2nd (46th pick)??

Although Ishbia would probably never let go off Draymond, so maybe it'd be for Wiggins from GS along with maybe Payton 2nd/ Kuminga/ Looney/ TJD (my personal choice). :dontknow:

So we just traded all our firsts and our two shiniest prospects for nothing haha.

Bro this trade will rival the Paul george one as the worst of all time.

Sooooo
instead of going to Golden State and starting a rebuild
The Suns will be left with Durant --meh

Ishbia will probably overpay for an overrated has been in Butler

The best thing the Suns can do is trade Allen, Royce and Nurkic and keep Beal Durant and Booker
flame out in the playoffs and regroup

Slim Charless single handedly sent the entire NBA into a 12 hour overnight flurry with one of his burner accounts spreading that KD gossip just to prove me wrong.

At this point - don't trade for Butler , don't trade Durant, just keep Beal

The other players - if you can make trades, do it

Not trading at this point is stupid. We’ve all seen what the current Phoenix suns team is capable of and it’s a Jurassic park size soft serve of triceratops dung. Suns need to make a move. Ishbia ain’t rebuilding.
