Knicks Expected To Trade Jericho Sims By Deadline

The New York Knicks are expected to trade Jericho Sims ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, sources tell Tim Bontemps of ESPN. Sims is on a $2 million expiring contract.

Sims, who is represented by Jason Glushon and Josh Ketroser, is averaging 1.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 10.8 minutes over 39 games for the Knicks.

Sims was a late second round ick in 2021 out of Texas.

Sims isn't bad for filler, but NY has KAT, Huk and Mitch hopefully coming back, and Precious is ahead of him in the PF category, so he's pretty expendable. I'm not sure what Sims & a 2nd rounder would get back or if NY would settle for trading Sims for cap space.
