Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Sign Pete Nance to 2-way

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Thu Feb 6, 2025 1:55 am

About to blow through the last thread with the deadline looming.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Any chance we even try for Durant? Might as well try. Giannis always loved him

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a slow trade day. All the big ones have happened already.

Pat Connaughton for a player who is somehow worse than Pat Connaughton can’t compete

Kevin Durant. At this point, I'd be surprised if he sticks in Phoenix after they've aggressively shopped him. I'm still keeping an eye out on the Lakers as a potential destination.

That scenario was acquiring Jimmy Butler. I guess we can still hold out hope for KD.

I'm still hoping for some miracle Cam Johnson fantasy trade  I know it won't happen, but I can dream.

Can we trade Kuzma and the 31 1st? Salaries match. Someone has to have said that 50x by now.

Thought I read that PHX is keeping him.

The Bucks should trade Jon Horst.

I'm not sure they'd move Kuzma so quickly, but something like Brook + Pat + 31' 1st for Cam Johnson + Day'Ron Sharpe works. Nets open up cap space and gain a 1st they might bank on being important in 2031.

The whole hang up with Jimmy was that he wanted a dumb contract for a player with diminishing skills/value. We’re better off just making a RFA or trade run at a younger player with upside on a team facing/currently second apron and/or undergoing a reset.

KD doesn’t want to play for the Bucks and we don’t have the assets.

The benefit of getting under the 2nd apron this season is so you can make other win now roster moves. Beyond that it does little.

Besides being able to aggregate contracts tomorrow/this summer it makes sure the '31 pick stays unfrozen. That's important.

Durant seems like the only win now move left but the Suns said they are keeping him.

If we trade for Marcus Smart, we'll deserve all the failure that would follow.

Just someone better than Kuzma to push him to the 4th option would make me feel a lot better.
