We had to fill the roster spot. He defends? Maybe he'll see the 6-8 minutes a month Shamet was barely getting until we either bring in Warren or another vet mini guy? We didn't get a pick in this deal?

Hard to make sense of this but, I'm sure this has Aller's fingerprints all over it. I trust the FO and I didn't expect much return for Sims. Seems like a place holder type move.

Patience is needed until the smoke clears. Mitch/Huk/Warren(?) will be our mid season additions to the rotation basically. Huk will be Mitch insurance for now. If he develops into anything he may be his replacement by next year. We are clearly rolling with the original core unless something else pops before tomorrow evening. I didn't expect much at all. There really is no room to do anything and Mitch has no value right now. Just get everyone healthy and keep our fingers crossed that it stays that way come playoff time. Wright probably doesn't play at all for us.

Why are people calling Delon Wright small? He's a 6'5" PG.

Not that it matters because I doubt he'll ever see the floor for this team, but still.

Wright will get situational minutes. He's still one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and as everyone knows, the Knicks have been struggling with 3pt defense.

Wright also seems like a guy at this point in his career that may accept one of those DaQuan Jeffries trade filler contracts to make a deal work this off-season. If I were Sims I would be looking at the very best situation for my game to hopefully extend my career and not just be shipped anywhere.

Who knows what the plan is with Wright. He could be shipped out by tomorrow. I don't know.

I wasn't expecting to get anything. I actually thought they would just try to get a 2nd round pick and open a roster spot.

By taking on Wright they will are right up against the 2nd apron where they can't add much. So yes I wasn't expecting much of a return but I think adding more of a guard glut doens't make sense unless they move another piece. Which is possible.

Bucks were interested in Sims. I'm guessing other teams weren't and this was the best offer.

Can Wright help our defense? Play a little bit more small ball? I don't know. Was this deal about acquiring Besson? Anyone have any thoughts about him? Bucks send cash too. I don't know how to feel about this. I guess it's marginally better than nothing, but not very interesting.
