I don’t know Contract… getting a quality Wing and PG filled all the gaps and needs… and I felt Dennis fit the bill so well too! Not sure why we waited for him to then trade him, and for Tucker of all people?!

I suspect Robinson will start but will compete with Highsmith.

Wiggins doesn't need to be better than any of them. He just needs to be a piece that fills a role. This team isn't going anywhere without a true #1 but you need a solid team that makes stars say "I want to go there" and you eventually get one of them.

I'm not saying he needs to be, I'm just combating some of the delusions. You have people saying he's better than Butler out of some kind of weird spite and it's just stupid to see. We got rid of Jimmy like we wanted and he got paid like he wanted. Time to move forward. But people lying to themselves about the trade or the situation will not help.

I'm disappointed Miami didn't get GPII as part of the deal. IMO, that is what made a deal for the yawn-inspiring Wiggins palatable.

As always, Riley loves his geriatric veterans, so here we go again with PJ Tucker. Just FYI, Wiggins is the only player Miami acquired who is under 30...and he'll be 30 this month :lol:

It'll be interesting to see what the parameters are on the 2025 pick if it doesn't convey to Miami in 2025.

Williams is a good get for the Lakers. They paid up for him, but he's good. Fixes their big man issues.

Knecht was surplus to needs once they got Doncic. Hornets did well though if they don't see Williams as their guy long term. The 2031 pick is valuable, and Knecht can play (he was my other guy outside of McCain in the 2024 Draft).

apparently like Luka, Williams can’t stay healthy. Also, when the gm’s met both sides had to know the secret handshake, otherwise the deal was off.
