I can see the logic if the draft capital is SRP's.

We would get to take a look at him while owning his bird rights and if we don't decide to keep him, there's a good chance we can facilitate a sign and trade and get back assets that way. The only team with cap space to sign him outright for what he wants are the Nets and that just seems unlikely.

That's not fair to Grange cuz I remember several post talking about shipping Jakob or RJ or IQ for Ingram.

I for one would happily welcome Ingram if the outgoing is Bruce & Boucher, I'm not too Keen on giving up a 1st tho

Don't think anyone wants to do the deal if it costs a FRP. It would need to have some crazy protections on it, probably something like top 20 protected that converts to SRP's to make me consider offering that.

The funny thing though is this makes the Siakam return look a lot better. Fairly similar player in production and even younger as well but you have nobody wanting to give up anything significant for him.

A boucher / brown deal would also explain why neither has been in any other deal.

strangely, I could only log on here by using a vpn putting me in another country. Is Raptors traffic that rough right now for realgm?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Is possible that’s why the Anderson deal fell through.

Probably going to be Brown, Boucher and one of our 26 firsts if BI is willing to sign a 3 years or 2+1 deal with us.

They have a trade exception to take on Anderson's salary without sending anyone out, but would have to waive someone (Robinson) to create a roster spot. That would have only made sense with draft compensation coming our way.

Any potential Ingram deal not really related to that.

It’s about the salary implications next year. You can’t take on any extra salary next year if you’re trading for Ingram or you have to do a ton of cap gymnastics to get under the tax.
